ooc: great to have you back Silver. Just one thing, since we are doing everquest, I would like to not stray from the rules of the game too much.

Regarding the wizard teleporting. Wizards cannot teleport to any place they wish in the game. Wizards and druids can teleport to specified locations know as druid rings (for druids) or wizard rings (for wizards). Sometimes, a portal exists that allows both wizards and druids to teleport there.

There are many of these places in the world. I know most of their locations. THe place we are at, the Great Divide; has one. There are others as well.

Don't worry that you don't know these rules. after all, I wouldn't know them either if i didn't play the game. I think I know quite a bit about the game; Lorin might as well. So, if you are ever confused about a certain ability, or anything, just put, in parenthesis (ooc: question about so and so ability.) And I or Lorindellia would be glad to help.

We'll be like little guides and moderators. Don't worry; no getting into serious technicalities; that takes too long and is boring. Like I say in the beginning, this thread would be fairly liberal; just don't wanna stray too far away the game itself. It be all good.

IC:

"Soryan" I exclaim. It felt like i haven't seen the wizard for ages; even though it has really been one day. In joy, I hug the wizard, not realizing for a second that I could crush his ribs by hugging too hard.

"How have you been my friend! T'is good to see you. Me and Lorindellia have decided to travel across Norrath, to seek and eliminate a powerful evil in the world.

"There is something I wish to ask of you however. You had never told me what happend to you that time when I saw you in the bar, and your hands were so badly burnt. As you friend Soryan, I need to know what had happend. For I fear it may be somehow linked to what has happend to Lorindellia."

"yes i guess i should tell you though it pains me to remember.when i cast that very limited healing spell on the lady i sat at the edge of the bed and dreamt.in the dream i saw a dark mage or magic user laughing at me.telling me that i would not suceed and that he would kill me.which he almost did"i stop to take a breath "after that he threw a fireball or blast or something and i put my hands out to block it i awoke just before i collapsed.if i had not i would have died.but i am cursed with these burns and i have very little feeling in my left hand now.so you see my friend we are linked in destiny to fight this foul thing"i said as i sat down and took off the pack i had been carring my supplys in. "i have somkething for both of you."i said as i rummaged through my pack. "for you my lady i have a dagger made of the finest metal known to dwarfs.though normaly used for armor, this dagger is made of mythrill.(ooc: or the equivelent for this game).i fancy that not even winhelm could break that blade."i said hand it to the lady."and for you my good friend, this "i said as i pulled out a silvery shirt"is a magic shirt.it will protect you from most spell and turn most magickal blade thou you must still beware of non magickal ones.wear it under your armor and you will be almost invinsible.(if this dosen't workin everquest send message and i will change it.) with that i sit back and listen to them recap what has happened to them since they were gone.

ooc: last post for the day. need to take care of a few things before bed.

The shirt item is fine. The only thing, if you don't mind, I shall call it a cloak, because cloaks are not visible in Everquest, and therefore, I shall assume that it can be worn above or below the armor. Mithril exists in the game, no problem with that.

Also, if you do not mind, just a minor other change. Can we make it so that the shirt does not give permanent invisibility, but rather, it gives the user the ability to make himself invisible whenever he wishes?

"My friend, I thank thee for these gifts. I too have something for you."

I reach into my back-pack and pull out a glowing black orb. I hand it to Soryan.

"Here my friend. T'is called a Drachnid Thyxl, and it comes from a lethal spider in the area called the Dreadlands. Do not hold it in your main hand, hold it in the other. It will emit a solid white glow when held; almost as if an illusionary shield. T'is no weapon, but It will provide you with protection from regular attact, from spells, and it will give you more magical energy to cast your spells.

"Now, indeed, our fates seem inter-twined. Let us embark then, together, on this journey to find this vile necromancer. Soryan, if you would be so kind as to teleport us to the wizard spires in hte Western Commonlands, Lorindellia seems to know of a person there that may be of aid to us."

OOC I can't remember the Lich's name, so I will go to WC in the game and kill him, and get it, will post my stuff tomorow.

OOC as it turns out I can not go to EC for a few days, kinda stuck where I am at in Stonebrunt, trying to get out of hell level 35. So I am making a name up. :)

"We need to get a port" Lorindellai says, as she turns to begin tracking that Druid. "This way" and she points toward the east.

Together they run, as though they were life long friends. Even though they have only recently met it seems as if their fates are intertwined.

They come to a valley, and inside lie a ring of stone, with an archway leading in. This is the Druid ring, a place where one can often pay a druid to take them to another ring in Norrath.

There they meet a druid, and Wilhelmm begins to negotiate a deal for a port to the western Commons.

OOC We need more players I think, want to post a request under general, or keep going? The Druid of course can be male of female...

Yours for the Moment,
Lorindellia

Wilhelmm

ooc: Indeed we do. It's kinda hard to plan high level scenarios without more people. If we can get enough, I would gladly do a scenario for planer, dungeons, and dragons.

ic:

"Stop Lorin. We must wait for Soryan. I think he has trailed behind somewhat."

I stop, and begin to try and find Soryan.

"Remember Lorin, we need not a druid, a wizard can teleport us to the Western Commonlands just as well."

soryan

"thou, are, right.i can, take us,there."i said panting"you really must slow down for people as out of shape as me.anyway here we go."and with that i teleported us to the western commonlands. as we arrive we are greeted by two very large warriors that seemed to be expecting us."i'll take one and you take the other."i sad to wilhelmm.with that i draw my sword swinging it in a large ark slicing the left hand of one of the giants hands off.

Lorindellia watches as her two traveling companions dispatch of the two warriors. One with brute strength, the other with life draining spells. SHe has learned in observing mages that very often their spells have less of an effect when interfered with by blade or blunt, and so she stands down, ready should the tables turn on Soryan...

He is concentrating, chanting and casting so much that she feels her senses assulted with the scent of burning mana... So much so that she never notices the smell of another's mana. This hidden spell caster is again mezmerizing her. She begins to spin. Her body sinking down into a whirling funnel in her mind, while what anyone else saw was her collapsing to her knees first, and then falling face forward onto the teleportaion platform. Hands over her head on the ground, as though praying to an unseen God.

Suddenly she is lifted up by strong arms, and carried off into the mountainous area of the commons. By whom she can not tell, but it smells like Ysian... It can not be Ysian... but yet she knows his smell.... and then she faces the empty nothingness of the dark. This time her companions can not save her; for they never even saw what happened, as the clever Necromancer had arrainged everything perfectly....or so he thought.

Ok, I'm in. you convinced me. can someone update me on the storyline thus far?

Wilhelmm

ooc: good to have Ya on board. Don't worry, you'll soon realize that we're all insane, and I'm king loony. :)

ok, now. All kidding aside. Originally, all 3 of us met in a bar. We had quite an adventure inside, and the main plot kind of began. Lorindellia, the member of us 3 closest aligned to the side of light (Humans and Barbarians tend to be more neutral than elves).

The main plot so far involves a powerful necromancer whose quest is to steal souls of light to earn his Sceptre and be considered a true force of evil by other evil doers, and by his god (Innoruk; the god of hate).

He is accompanied by a mysterious shaman (tribal caster class); and they attempt to capture Lorindellia; the wood-elven ranger; but fail.

So, after a brief erotic scene, and emotional scene for my character, I, Wilhelmm, the barbarian warrior encounter Lorindellia in the woods; while Soryan (the human wizard) remains kind of in shock at the bar.

I tell Lorindellia about the necromancer and his plot, and offer for her to join me to attempt to kill this demon. She accepts, and we're about to go back for Soryan, but he is already next to us.

We set out together to the Western Commonlands; a popular area on the main continent in the world of Norrath, Antonica, because Lorindellia says she knows a lich that may have some information that could help.

We find ourselves in the Western Commonlands, when an ambush of 2 warriors waits there for us. Me and Soryan fight off the warriors with ease. However, meanwhile, the necromancer comes and kidnaps Lorindellia with the help of the shaman.

we try to see where they went, but we do not know exactly where. And thats where the story personally stands.

Do not worry, this is only one of the storylines we will be developing. Since me and Lorindellia both play the game, we are like little guides. This thread will be very liberal, but we don't wanna stray too much from the game rules. So, if you have any types of questions about anything at all; feel free to send me or her a PM, or just post it in the thread in OOC. we be glad to help.

ic:
"Very Well Soryan. Hmm, the one on the left looks less puny, I think I'll take him."

I engage the warrior in combat. Noticing that he is a human, naturally, he is inferior to barbarians in melee combat.

Slash! My blade swings through the air at the mans lower ribs. He tries to dodge; but I can sense his combat skills are weak.

He tries to retaliate. he swings at my right shoulder. The swing has some effect, I can feel a small amount of pain from the swing of his club.

Unfortunately for him, t'is nowhere near enough to stop me. I can sense that he is new; his combat skills are quite weak and novice. Wanting to end this bout quickly, my next swing is directed at the hand he fights with more comfortably.

Slash! The shot hits home. His weapon flies out of his hand onto the ground. He has only one weapon now. He takes a swing, but he is slow. I block his hand motion with my right hand; rendering him immune to a blow. With my left arm, I slash the man fiercely in the head with my wrist.

He is temporarily dased. Wanting to finish this in style, I move my right hand around off of his arm. then, aligning my blades almost on the same line with each other above his head, in a quck motion, I send them to approach each other.

He regains contiousness, but it is too late. my blades touch his neck, and cross through, passing one on top of the other on their way. His neckbones provide little resistance, and the blades come all the way through quite easily. Decapitated, he tumbles to the ground.

Wishing to end the situation quickly, I proceed to aid Soryan in his fight. The wizard is doing quite well in combining his melee and spell casting. To be honest, I have seen few wizards who can defend themselves by other means then magic.

Quickly, the second warrior is killed. We turn around to speak to Lorindellia, but she is not there. Where has the ranger gone? Suddenly, I look at the ground, and I see her Ivy Stretched Helmet on the ground.

"NO!" I scream. She must have been kidnapped.

"Dammit!" How could I have been so uncareful? She has vanished, and neither I nor Soryan know where to. We stare at each other blankly, knowning that in our own way, we have both succeeded, yet failed.

ooc:is there such a thing as a recall spell.like to tell where the last person to use the portal would have went

BTW, still interested in the thread just haven't had time to start a post yet. In the process of working on another 'private' EQ story for a friend for his birthday winks, but I'll see what I can do.

Groggy...

Sunlight.... The Sun! Oh The feel of the warmth of the Sun!

Lorindellia lifts her face towards the days first light as it streams down upon her body, warming her cold armour. She smiles through the haze in her mind...

As she comes to her senses she is aware of her surroundings, before she ever opens her eyes. She can smell him... Her beloved Ysian is here.

Feeling overcome with joy she opens her eyes, and sees him, huddled in the darknes, out of the light entering the cave where he has taken her. He sees her and she notices a flash of red light glowing from within, in his eyes as they drink in her lovely shape. She shudders then. A frosty etheral finger of fear slowly grips her spine, and she inhales sharply. Raising an eyebrow, and squinting slightly, as if this could improve her Elven ability to see into the darkness, something she does with ease, she examines him. This is not the Ysian she once knew.

Her former lover is hunched into the darkness, his face looks different to her, almost contorted, as if there were some internal struggle going on in his mind. He appears much smaller than what she remembered. Of course he was still twice her size, yet he appeared to be shrinking into the wall of the cave away from her. His once distinguished greying black hair is now unkept. His face is covered in a beard and mustache, something he never sported before. He looks dirty, as though a grey film of soot has covered him. And the eyes that once could look at her with such an intensity that she felt he saw into her soul, now were cold, save an occaisiaonal flash of some supernatural red light burning in his mind.

"Ysian!" she started to say... but he cringed away from her voice and screetched at her.

"Say nothing Lorin!"

"But Ysian, what has happened to you?" she inquired breathlessly as a tear slowly drifted down her cheek. She realized with the sound of his voice that her true love was gone forever. Something evil had taken his place in this world, something that did not belong here. Ysian was no more...

Of course this was my post, I simply forgot to log in:
Ysian was no more...

Lorindellia

ooc: Sorry, internet hasn't been working normally since thursday. looks like it's working now though.

Silver, your question; no, recalls don't really exist. In the game, if the person is in your group, the only thing you can see is if they are still in the same area as you are. But, since this would be confusing and hard to establish, I would rather not use it. But, if you guys think it owuld be a good idea, then we try; I'm liberal on that.

Ic: "Well friend, You are indeed right. we cannot just sit here and do nothing, we must find Lorindellia."

I clear my throat. "However, I fear we can only do so much. I cannot track the course that she nor her captor went. And, unfortunately, I did not see where she went."

"Hmm. I think they could not have gone too far. I somehow doubt the captors would try to run very far. They would likely try to reach the nearest cave or hideout and rest there."

"Ok, I think I may have an idea. Since this capture is no doubt somehow relevant to the necromancer, he would likely seek a hideout among the undead; from where he could control these mindless beasts and use them against his foes."

"I have heard of a place called Befallen. It is a dungeon crawling with minions of undead, and t'is located not far from here. It once was a dungeon feared little by the experienced traveler, for only the weakest sort of the undead dwelt there, all controlled by a faitly powerful zombie, but t'would be fairly easy game for us."

(ooc: again, if possible, relating to befallen. Because it would provide for a more interesting plot, I would like to use the newly-designed Befallen, where, for a short amount of time, the Dark-elves took over, and the dungeon became pretty popular, and fairly difficult too. Because this change actually stayed for a while, I think it is warant to be used.)

IC:

"However, times changed. Not too long ago, the minions of the evil goddess Lanys T'Vyl (oc; I believe this is accurate name) occupied the dungeon. THe old and weak minions were destroyed. More powerful Minions and Dark Elves; fighters and mages alike have taken their place. Some of T'Vyl most trusted servants occupy the dungeon's lower levels."

"I know not if the T'vyl servants remain, or if they have moved on to seek higher goals. However, I always assume the worst. And if the servants remain, then I fear you and I alone may not be able to exterminate the vermin that dwell here."

"Nevertheless, we are good to no one if we do not try. So, ready thy sword friend, and follow me. I shall leads us to Befallen."

Finishing his sentence, he ponders for a moment, trying to remember where exactly the dungeon is located. Finally, remembering, he and Soryan embark on their travels.

In short time, they approach the sand-filled mountains of the southern region of the Western Commonlands.

I stop for a moment and say. "WEll friend, if i remember correctly, the Befallen entrance is located somewhere within these mountains. So, be on the lookout for any unusual openings in the mountainside.

Finally, running West along the mountainside, Soryan trailing a bit behind, I can see an opening in the mountain range. I signal for Soryan to slow down, and ready his blade. We approach the entrance and move inside a bit.

"Welcome to Befallen" I say, and draw my 2 swords.

As Lorindellia feels her heart breaking into the Necromancer enters the cave where she lie, watching what was once the only man she loved...

He simply looks at Ysian and laughs! He kicks Ysain's boots and says, "Her friends will never find her, they have gone into Befallen! HA!"

He looks at Lorindellia and says, "They are pathetic Lorindellia! Bumbling fools!"

At that Lorindellia says sternly, "Bite your tongue, I am not dead yet and neither are they!"

Lorindellia has a sense of dread, and hangs her head low, and silently sheds a tear, hoping that Wilhelmm and Soryan can find her before this Necromancer has turned her into an Evil being like Ysian....
