I am a huge Bruins fan and want to give my take on the series with Florida.
First the better team won the series. I expected Florida to win the series going and they did. They are a heavy and deep team that is really built for playoff hockey.
At the same time, I feel like the refs really stuck it to Boston throughout the series. Would have changed the outcome probably not. I mean just at the power play opportunities during the series, but before you do remember that Florida was the most penalized team in the regular season. Boston was in he middle of the pack as far as regular season PIM. Florida had more power plays in every game of the series, every game. Then there was the Bennett punch on Marchand that went uncalled in game three. Then the goal Bennett scored in game four. Yes, there is an identical goal out there of Maroon scoring for Minnesota that was challenged and reversed. That goal was series changing. Yes the McAvoy was a makeup call for Boston in game five.
Bottom line is this the better team won but I feel like the thumb was on the scale for them too. Okay you can all rip on my opinions.

3-7 in the last two playoff years. You don't go far in the playoffs if you can't defend home ice.

Just so little offense generated by the Rangers. Panthers totally controlled the game and the far better team tonight.
