If you'd like a response to the PM you sent, you need to turn your pm's on. ;) I'm going to operate on the assumption that you changed your mind.

Don't know what happened; my PMs were disabled, and I've just now managed to get them working again. Please resend whatever response you were considering. I haven't changed my mind.

Next time, post to the seeking thread first before dumping five threads and cluttering the board with what amounts to wanted ads.

You've posted the same message in every single one of them. Pretty trollish behavior, in my opinion. Pretty spammy...

How can a person post to solicit co-writers in a thread titled "Existing Threads Seeking Writers" without creating threads on the main page? Each of the five threads begins with an opening post, and contains OOC information to indicate what type of story this person would like to write. I'm sincerely curious to know what rules this poster is breaking.

You're not a mod, CB - don't you trust them to know what does and does not break the rules? You seem to have made this your personal mission, just because it annoys you. From here, it looks like harassment. Why not mind your own business? Use your Ignore button, if it bothers you so much.

Hello all!

I'm looking for a female partner to either continue, or restart, this thread.

The premise is that a young woman wakes up with no memory of who she is, but everything around her points her towards being an uninhibited slut who has carried on a sexual relationship with her father since she was 18.

In the thread as it stands, she is not his daughter, though if it is restarted, that can be decided on then.

It's an exploration of how much our memories and expectations of reality truly influence our lives. With nothing to prove otherwise, do you become the person you are told you were before?

The Getting Started Thread talks about this. I'm just tired of seeing every newb flood the board with crap threads that end up doing nothing but cluttering up the place. I hope they figure it out, if they look around, and that is the reason I post each time the seeking-clutter shows up. How can someone post here without starting a thread first??? How about they post on the seeking rp board FIRST and then open their 14 threads once they have partners. Some of us like to navigate and read other threads, and we get tired of navigating all of the want ads that are in the way. Come to a new place? Get the lay of the land before jumping in and ruining the environment for those of us that have been here and enjoyed it. If you open your eyes and look at the Getting Started Thread, rather than just posting as if you know what you're doing, then this isn't a problem. But lately it's been a glut of this nonsense, and I've decided to push back against clutter creep.

Here's the funny thing:

If I see something I don't agree with, or that I don't think belongs on the main page, the last thing I'd be inclined to do would be to post in that thread, thus bumping it to the top of the first page again. Doesn't make much sense, does it?

If I believe someone is breaking the rules, I will use the handy "Report" button. If I know they're not (as is the case with these threads), I choose to ignore it, and wait for it to disappear. If it doesn't - or if it's a member who's posted multiple times, I will use the handy "Ignore" button. Oh so quiet.

People don't always read the Lounge FAQ thread - some people intent on writing SRPs don't even bother with the Lounge. People don't always notice the Existing Threads and Seeking RPers stickies at the top of the main page. Open threads on the main page are not, as of yet, against Literotica rules. Yeah, they can be annoying - welcome to the internet. Put your big boy panties on and deal with it.

Flooding the forum with the same post, disrupting potential stories IS against the rules. It's considered spamming. It's also incredibly rude, in my opinion. How would you feel if someone posted in one of your threads, directly after an opening post you'd worked hard on, just to express their irritation regarding rules you were not actually breaking? How would you feel if you opened a thread, had begun reading the idea and were interested...only to find such a negative post immediately following the OP?

I think you're discouraging new talent, and deterring interested parties who might quickly pick up the stories you're disrupting (and so what would be the problem?). If no one is interested, or if they truly will not have any luck finding co-writers by posting on the main page, then let the threads die and everyone will catch on quickly enough. In the meantime, the "Ignore" button is your best friend.

I don't expect you to read my response or to take it seriously, though, as I suspect you enjoy what you're doing.

I refuse to clutter up this thread with additional arguments, so if you'd like to persist in arguing, I invite you to send me a PM.

Mild sub needed.

Looking for a sort of sub female partner for a Vampire thread. If you’re interested please PM me if you like to know more.

Here's the thing.

This is a rule:

"Flooding the forum with posts, screen-breaking text, or images - or bumping old threads - and/or any non-substantive activity with the intent of disrupting the forum is prohibited. Is also considered Spamming. This also includes signatures that screen -break."

And one you seem to be violating with your nonsense.

This is all under things to be aware of:

Some things to be aware of:

1. If a thread/story is “locked” or “Closed to (name)” The creators and writers won’t look kindly on someone jumping in uninvited. Please read the first post of every thread to see what the creator would like or wouldn’t like. Closed means just that, unless listed do not post. There are ways to inquire about joining in, PM the creator of the story, or look for a link to an OOC thread.

2. Threads looking for Players is a resource in which writers and new comers who wish to write can find a thread in need of a role player to either take over a role abandoned or to fill a character role open.

3. Seeking Role Players and Inspiration is a resource where one can introduce themselves (not too personally as per the rules) about what they would like to write, what they won’t write or share their story ideas that others might write for them to follow along and enjoy.

You seem to be violating #1, because your blather isn't something the want in their thread, obviously, and there is nothing there that says you must use these threads to find other writers.

You seem to be violating two of the things you're so desperate to uphold.

Quit being a fucking asshole.

Some people may not know how the board works, and while I understand both Scuttle Buttin' as well as saysalice's point, it really seems that this is going a bit far. CB is simply informing the new people of where they should be posting their intent to find other role players. I have seen CB's posts in the threads and they don't come across as harassment in any way. She simply is letting people know the general protocol in those situations.

Personally I remember when I first started on Literotica, it was a bit of an overwhelming experience, and I had a few writers whom helped me to understand how the site worked. In law, there is the rule of law, which depicts the actual written law as it is written with no understanding for circumstance, and there is the spirit of the law. It has been a long time since I have studied law, so I am very rusty, but it seems that on both sides people have taken offense to actions that have been taken.

Honestly, CB's right in the fact that new people just randomely starting up new threads might clutter the boards and make it harder to pursue different passions, interests and whatnot, just as I understand the above mentioned points of ignoring such threads. Honestly, I do believe that it should be made into a rule that you should need to utilize the amazing resources that the admins and mods have provided to seek out others to role play with, but until such point, may I suggest that people go along their merry way, and simply enjoy the site for what it is?

Have a great night everyone.

There's two problems:

1. He's not just posting what you've seen here, but going into other people's threads and being a dick.

Bump for another seeking post cluttering up the board when it should be posted in the Seeking RP Thread........

Every one of your posts has like 2 replies and it's always your own bumps. Post in the Seeking RP Thread please and stop cluttering up the rest of the world here.
Seeking posts belong on the seeking RP thread. All the news instead want to clutter up the board before getting the lay of the land. Welcome, but post where you should be posting next time and stop cluttering up the board.....

This should be posted on the Seeking RP thread and not its own post cluttering up the main board.
(This one was EIGHT HOURS after the thread was posted, and it was never bumped. Click on the little arrow after his name in the quote to see for yourself)

Youve posted FIVE threads seeking RP partners on the main board. These properly belong on the seeking RP thread, rather than causing a bunch of clutter here. Please read the rules and post accordingly from now on.
(You know who else posted FIVE times? This guy. In every one of this person's threads, he posted the same shit. I guess once just wouldn't do it. To show how ridiculous that is, this thread is currently at the top of the forum. It started off in exactly the same way, and open thread inviting players to join. It started less than a month ago, 7/21 to be exact, and currently has 139 posts from 7 different people. The point being: Open threads attract writers, and can stretch multiple pages. He would've called it "clutter," now it is entirely indistinguishable from any other thread. This is another thread, currently on the front page, that started as an open thread looking for another writer way back in April. It now has 169 posts, and is entirely indistinguishable from any other thread. Yet another that started in November of 2012, has been going for almost two years, and has 391 posts in it. It is entirely indistinguishable from any other thread.)

And then, there is this exchange:

Seeking RP partner ideas belong on the Seeking RP Thread. See the rules on this.
OOC:

Carnival Barker,

Since you addressed me publicly I will respond publicly. A Private message would have been a better medium for you to question my activities.

I have read the rules and am in complete compliance. However, rule number nine states in part:

I consider what you wrote as "non-substantive activity with the intent of disrupting the forum."

Please do not post again in this, or any of my threads.

Thank you.

My intent is the opposite of disruption. My intent is to get people to post in the seeking thread since that is why it is provided. Sorry for any confusion. Won't happen again..............

So apparently, in order for him to stop hijacking other people's threads, they have to help him hijack their thread and ask him to stay out of it.

That is acting like an asshole.

If you look through the last couple pages of his recent posts, you'll see three things: 1. Fat shaming, because of course. 2. His own RP posts. 3. His hijacking of other people's threads, effectively fulfilling his own prophecy because who wants to work on a thread with his nonsense in the beginning of it?

As I showed above, just looking at what is currently on the front page of the forum, open threads can and do work. But none of those that are all over 150+ posts have him throwing a tantrum in the beginning of them.

He complains about clutter and disrupting the forum. He is the one doing it. It needs to stop.

then report it, and leave it for the admins. This is a resource thread for those whom are looking to enjoy Literotica. If CB is taking a vendetta, then report it, and I am sure it will be solved by those in charge.

Until then, I would simply suggest that we leave the Existing threads alone and let the site go on. It always will.

Unfortunately, unless it is something illegal or it breaks some sort of picture posting rule, they seem to be fairly absent and/or hands off. I tried that a little while back, and apparently nothing was done since he continues on his self-appointed mission.

"Water Nymph"

I have an old thread I like to revive back again. It’s about a girl, “Water Nymph” on an all-girl pirate ship. Please PM me if interested.

Reunion Surprise (TAKEN)

Taken...thanks for your interest.

Hello,

I am looking for one female to join me as a co-writer in the below. I am open to this going in various directions, and to going either quickly or more slowly. I do enjoy the anticipation and build-up, but, of course, the erotic scenes are critical also.

I have another very good (closed) thread going, but am looking to start a second.

If interested, please PM me.

Best,

Gr8chtr.

Reunion Surprise

Will Schmidt hadn’t been back to his hometown of Zanesville, OH since his junior year in college. That was four years ago. Although he grew up in Zanesville and his mother was a native of the town, his dad had always wanted to return to the Milwaukee area, his birthplace. Will’s parents moved early in his junior year at Carnegie-Mellon. With no relatives in Zanesville Will had no strong reason to return. He went back twice later in the school year, staying with friends, but had not returned since.

Now, after four years, Will was getting nostalgic for the "old days", particularly when he was a part of The Trio. The Trio consisted of Will and his two close friends, Kurt Heitman and Ryan Connors, so-named because they sang, respectively, baritone, base and tenor in the Zanesville High School Choir. More importantly, The Trio spent most of their junior and senior years in one another's company, on dates, at sporting events, hanging out in one of their families' basement rec rooms. Kurt had settled in Zanesville, married to Susan, his college sweetheart from Akron, along with their 2-year-old daughter. Ryan lived the furthest, in Nashville, where he was trying to make a break as a Country and Western singer, but was actually waiting tables. Will had stayed on in Pittsburgh after college and had a good entry-level job in an engineering firm. Will convinced his two friends to have a reunion of sorts in Zanesville. He had decided to take a whole week of summer vacation to allow him to visit lots of places that he hadn't been back to for so long. Ryan could only commit to taking off Friday and leaving Sunday afternoon.

Will and Ryan were rooming together Friday and Saturday nights at the Ecno-Lodge; Will would be staying on through the following Saturday. Kurt agreed to meet them at The Barn, one of the favorite sports bars for Zanesville's younger crowd. Not fancy, but a good place for beer, pizza, and hanging out.

The two roommates arrived first and claimed a table to wait for their friend. At 6',3" it wasn't hard to spot Kurt entering the bar, but, surprisingly, he was not alone. Kurt was accompanied not by his wife, but by his big sister Kate, who was two years senior to The Trio. Kate had gone on to law school and was working in a law firm in Chicago. Will wasn't sure what the dress code was for off-duty lawyers, but he didn't think it was the very short shorts, and low-cut top that Kate now sported. He had never thought of his friend's older sister in any way other than platonic. Now, he realized suddenly that she was not only very attractive, go but hot too boot.

Kurt and Kate seated themselves across from the other two Trio members, Kurt across from Ryan, Kate across from Will. The conversation quickly turned to The Trio reminiscing about their younger days, leaving Kate feeling a bit superfluous. She did manage to inject that her parents had pressured her to spend 10 days house-sitting and caring for their dog, Charlie, while her parents took a Mediterranean cruise; it was Day 3 and she was already bored silly.

Will enthusiastically engaged in the reunion that he, himself, had engineered. However, although he tried to concentrate on his conversation with Kurt and Ryan, his attention returned frequently to Kate. As they sat drinking their beers, on a couple of occasions Kate's and his legs brushed each other under the table. He didn't notice Kate reacting, but she didn't move further away either. When he wasn't looking directly at Kurt or Ryan, Will's gaze frequently took in the view of Kate's low-cut top that showcased her firm, beautiful breasts. Once he thought that she caught him gazing at her body and responded with a small smile, but perhaps that was just his imagination. In any event, Will found himself becoming slowly and steadily aroused by Kate's presence, with his mind filling with erotic thoughts that he had never applied to her before. She and he were going to be in town for a week. The thought crossed Will's mind that this could be an interesting week in ways that he hadn't imagined when he hatched the idea of the Trio Reunion.

I've a few threads that barely lifted off before my co-author disappeared. I'd welcome any female writers who are interested in continuing.

I do expect a modicum of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. I make typos, too, so I won't judge too harshly if you do. That said, endless run-on sentences, zero capitalization, and the present tense all fiercely annoy me.

Likewise, I appreciate some length and detail in your posts. I tend to be verbose and perhaps overly so, but at least give me more a few sentences.

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1045037
A thread with a bit of a sci-fi angle and a pregnancy theme. Originally designed to have some non-consensual aspects, but we can probably mute (or amplify) that if you prefer.

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=975531
A fantasy thread that will likely involve non-consensual situations at the outset. Where that goes remains to be seen.

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=996635
A non-consensual (at least initially) incest thread (daddy/daughter).

If any of these jobs these threads appeals to you, send me a PM. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi all. I'm seeking an articulate lady to join my first thread, set at a masquerade ball in 17th Century Venice. The historical derails are intentionally vague, but this is an opportunity for you to pull on a corset and a big dress and have fun with an Italian man! ;)

I left the first post quite open so you can plan your entrance however you please.

I'm not quite sure how to get a new thread off the ground, so this is my first attempt! Please let me know if you need more details. :)
