Relationships: She is divorced, but it is considering a stead relation.

Story (so far): Vera is a the manager of a local bank. Some say she got her position just by her good looks, other say she just profitated from the political correctness. Both are wrong. She is successful because she is clever and sometimes ruthless. She was just divorced from her black husband and she does not regret this in any way. She started a slight affair with a white clerk a short time ago and found that he is a better choice in every aspect she can think of. Still, she doesn't want to make things to easy for him and keeps him waiting. She is just on her way home from a business trip she did and lost her way in the rain, so she took the wrong turn with her Wrangler Jeep. She realized to late that the bridge before here was flooded and decide to dash through the water with full speed, hoping the suv would reach the dry side before stalling. The car nearly made it through the water, but the engine stalled just as she was leaving the water again. She took her handy and wanted to phone for help, but realized that she didn't know where she was. She got out of the car to have a look at a sign she couldn't read in the rain, and jumped out, landing safe on the dry side of the road. She got hold of her umbrella, but dropped her handy, which plunged into the water an disappeared. At least she could read the sign now, it said "Nelson Hotel straight ahead".

Randell Long
The biker is a old chap from Kenneth and has met Nelson before. Randell is on the run, but has escaped the police so far and is just looking for a spot to hide for some time. He isn't that far away from Nelson's place, so he will have a look. He is white, straight and dominant, all other details must be made by the players.

A little note - I am not naive enough to expect someone to just take over the role of Jean Paul. Besides, out of respect of the last writer I would prefer to start a new thread entirely. But the idea was initially mine and one I am quite fond of, so I wish to continue the idea even if it is changed slightly.

UPDATE - I am currently in bed with the flu and it feels like I'm on the brink of death...lol...(excuse the over-exaggeration) but I wished to get the process started as I know it can take a while.

The IC will be going up for this thread in a few days and we are still accepting a few more people. The setting is slightly changed- it will be Hogwarts filled with college aged kids in the year 2025 after the world knows about magic. Chelsea looked at her reflection in the mirror for about the millionth time. She was nervous. It had been two years since she had seen him. They had been best friends for as long as she could remember. When they had graduated from high school he had decided to enlist in the Army. Chelsea had been the one standing by him for support when he had to tell his parents.... She had also been the one with him at the airport when he was going to be leaving for Basic Training. The plan was for him to come home after basic, but that was thrown a huge curve ball... Just as basic was coming to an end his unit had been deployed to Iraq. His parents had decided to move to Florida and when he finally got on leave he had flown there to see them...which made sense but hadn't hurt any less. The two of them had stayed close, keeping up to date all thru his basic training. When he was deployed it was a little harder but they worked it out...until he ended up stationed where there weren't phones or internet.... So snail mail was the only route. The letters came further and further apart until finally they just didn't come anymore...No one was to blame, but life just......got in the way. But now his tour was done... and he was coming home.... home to his hometown. She had heard it through the grapevine that he would be coming home to live in his childhood home.

They had grown up only a few blocks from eachother so she forced herself to head down the street to his house....maybe he wouldn't be there?.......

When she was outside the house she saw a car parked in the driveway, knowing someone was there she was almost frozen in place, just standing out front of the familar home...
