Extreme: you shall get what's advertized

(a) Sex and obscenity are not synonymous. Obscene material is material which deals with sex in a manner appealing to prurient interest - i. e., material having a tendency to excite lustful thoughts. P. 487.

Picture it: a debate on TV, with me in one corner, and dr Laura Whatshername in the other...

Actually, Scalia is also a vote in favor of free "political" speech. He, for example, wrote the opinion that struck down the flag burning law. (Flag burning, in his view, was protected political speech).

So, if you can somehow structure your erotic material in a political vein, you might get him on board.

Also, Thomas usually votes with Scalia, so Scalia effectively has two votes on the court.

Renquist generaly votes with both Scalia & thomas. They are the three arch conservatives. Scalia, for a long time was a very stric constitutionalist as well, but of late his conservatism seems to be blurring his objectivity.

A blanket statement

I'm a bit against censorship on the net, because it is the one body where there isn't censorship. The internet allows anyone anywhere to post anything. It is pure anarchy that works. And what it gives us is amazing as well as sickening. Imagine looking in the real world for Hellenic calendars that extend into modern times, tributes to obscure horror writers, communities and writing groups for erotic authors, etc. Sure there are the viruses, rampant porn sites, and trolls, but they are products of humanity. And no one is forcing anyone to click on sites of utter degradation (with the exception of pop-ups). No one is forcing little Timmy to illegally lie about his age to watch milf's gone wild with raspberries. I say let the extreme stay because it shows us that humanity still looks at this stuff and likes it. It helps us remain cynical when dealing with the humans back in the "real world."

Besides a ban on snuff films being shown on the internet doesn't stop people making them. It just keeps everyone from knowing that people make them.
