Faced with repeated retry messages when entering chat

Hi, I have been unable to log into the chat room since last night.

I was logged in for a bit before I was booted, and since then, I have faced the 'retry' message on loop every time I try to enter.

I have been on the chat rooms for a long time, and I'm not sure what I did differently last night, in case I was banned. Some clarity would help.
