Cards on the table, I'm no fan of "journalists" and "the media". They exist for one thing: To Sell Air time.
Case in point; Multiple outlets are going with the "Facts, Not Fear" theme. They start with that, then the very next words out of their mouths scares the shit out of you.

Why? Because they say what you don't want to hear or believe?

There's also the underlying current of the nature of journalism majors in general
who list one of their choices of profession as making a difference. Since the
journalism campus is dominated by a SJW mindset, they come to the
profession inculcated with the drive to achieve political goals,
to be real influencers and you see that in their reporting as
they take up the mantle Progressive Freedom Fighters,
very much convinced that traditional values must be
crushed as the root of all cultural rot...

This, then, was a crisis to not
let go to waste.

:(

No, because they say what they want to hear and believe
(see my prior post [#4]).

Speaking of that, housesquaw, given the very public spat between Drudge and Trump, which set of competing talking points will you choose to regurgitate here daily going forward? I know this won't be an easy choice for you....

p.s. Nurse Worksquaw come home from her job at the hospital with a cough yet?

No. Not at all. I WANT the facts. I don't want bull shit. Don't tell me "Facts, not Fear", and then the first words out of your mouth are how many of my neighbors died last night. Just say, "Facts", and don't pretend to sugar-coat it.

Some exist to spread propaganda.

Some exist to spread propaganda.

I was having a discussion about this just this morning.

The media today is all about influence and influencing rather than factual reporting. There are some who swallow it and beg for more. Those who do that don't care that they're being manipulated, they willing repeat the daily BS because it makes them seem, to themselves, that they're informed.

What really happens is that they repeat and cite to 3 or 4 sources that have outlined the daily agenda of propaganda. When called on it by others who read the news widely they continue to cite the 3 or 4 sources and ignore the entire universe of other data that totally contradicts what they're regurgitating.

Then they start the spin cycle where they "rephrase" their earlier comments to try and get them to align more closely to the facts rather than the BS that everyone now knows it was when those comments were made.

And yet the lemmings spread the "new" interpretation around while conveniently ignoring that the "old" interpretation is 180* opposite of what they're saying now.
