Fans of Incest Stories, what do incest stories have that keep you coming back? What is so enticing about them to you?

For me, it's always been the turn. I'm fascinated by things that can take a platonic relationship full of trust and respect, and twist it, to where (usually for me) two siblings are pounding away at each other.

I love making it innocuous but believable. One of my favorite stories (that I've written), it was caused by a bend in the road. Her head ended up in his lap, and proximity + hormones took over.

I have no interest in non-consensual stories. I have written a lot of sibcest. Which if you require informed (even if misguided) consent makes perfect sense. Siblings who are close in age (especially twins or m/f where the male is barely older) is as close to being completely equal as two potential lovers can be. Toss in mutual admiration and affection and concern for the other . . . along with a healthy dose of "we are doing this thing together and it would really be best if we didn't get caught" dynamic and I think you have the makings of a great story. (At least until some prude or robot reads something into the story that isn't there and it's taken down.)

I've just recently taken my first foray into the incest genre, and so far, for me, it's about perverting an innocent relationship and flipping an expected power dynamic around. I've got several more T/I stories planned now, and many of them have to do with an adult child sexually dominating a parent or a younger (still adult) relative taking the lead with an older relative.

Also, to be expected, I really dig transgressive sexuality in my fiction.

The power dynamic is a fine line. If you push it too far to have it so the older one is using their status to get the other to comply, it comes across as abuse of power there's a audience for it, but many will get put off as well.

This is most prevalent in father/daughter. For some reason most don't mind a mother seducing the son even a bit aggressively, but with dad/daughter the father being the instigator has an inherently rapey or abusive vibe regardless of what the author intends or how its written. This is why many D/D stories have the daughter as the one who pushes for the sex, it takes away that vibe.

Just my take based on time in the category, you'll find your own way as you keep going.

Other than in the play sense, no one should dominate any one else. That will inevitably lead to resentment.

In some the ones I did, the Moms ran the household in one way or another. They kept the family together, and sometimes the business after the Dads mucked things up.

But it was always in a Mom kind of way.

In others, the Moms reawakened some of the wild side they lived years earlier.

In yet others, the Bro/Sis were in on it together, equally.

No one ever 'dominated' another. No one ever intimidated another to any real extent.

You, as the writer can make sure the power dynamic is equal and fair and all participants get something positive out it all in ways not possible in the real world.

I have a friend who I play with on the phone. He loves to role play.Something similar to mother son incest.

We will "reminisce" about different times we've been together and things that have happened.

I wouldn't mind her playing some of them with him in real life.
We have been together, but find it more exciting on the phone
that sounds bery interesting. I will have to find someone willing to role play.

Yeah, I prefer stories of a son pursuing his mother or father, but the latter I feel like has more of an audience in Gay Male than incest. That's just my observation from looking at tags, not experience, though.

the details, and in particular, the execution of the idea are the bigger part of it.

this particular conceit (tricking siblings into having sex) can be turned into a good story.
Yeah, but my execution was poorly done.

For me it's the taboo aspect. This means that the participants also should start off thinking that they would absolutely never. It's also gotta present as consensual, not just because I find rape unsexy, but because it doesn't present as a satisfactory resolution to 'how do I make these two (or more) characters who both agree sex is a bad idea, do it anyway'.

I've commented on this before, my take is that incest stories have an element of voyeurism. I don't imagine myself as a character in the stories I've written. More, it's the fun of watching people being naughty, going against social norms. Whether it's a son lusting for his mom, or a mom struggling (and failing) to resist her desires for her son.

Gay male incest is tough, it doesn't go over the greatest in either category, its a double standard lose/lose scenario more often than not.

Which is a shame, but sometimes you just gotta write what you love. But the other site I like to post on has more love for gay incest, so it'll hopefully all find its audience eventually

Following up on what Lovecraft and spiderboi were saying about the role of power dynamic in incest stories, I agree that it's a very important element. For those who haven't read incest stories, they're not what you probably think they are. The natural power dynamic is often flipped, so you have a daughter pursuing a father or a son pursuing a mother. Submissive mom stories are very popular. Brother-sister stories often feature the naughty little sister, or sometimes an older, worldly sister, to avoid the potentially creepy prospect of an older brother taking advantage of a younger sister.

I always deal with this in my incest stories. I don't want to write a story about a parent taking advantage of a child, so I play around with the relationship to avoid that problem. It can seem contrived or a bit silly at times, but incest readers in general seem to be pretty forgiving of contrived set-ups, so long as you give it SOME effort.

The flipping of the power dynamic creates a constant dramatic tension that gives many of these stories a big part of their zest.

You made me curious.

A bit to my surprise, there are over 700 stories tagged 'gay incest' and of those, over 300 have a Scarlet H. (The tag clearly denotes 'male' - none of these are in Lesbian.)

About half are in the TI category, and your notion is correct, of those nearly 400, only maybe a third get the H treatment.

However, if put in GM, the 300+ bro-incest tales score much better,

The readership patterns here always surprise.

I have a plot bunny where a little sister wakes up one day with a little futa dick, and her bi, brawny big bro makes her feel better about it while they wait for medical testing to figure out what the fuck happened. I wonder how it'll be received when I finally get around to writing it. He will absolutely suck the lil-sis dick.

I guess I'm asking... Is futa-on-male better received than gay content?

Just as you, as the writer, can make sure that nobody in your story ever swears, cheats on a test, picks up a weapon, drives under influence or misses mass on Sundays. Just saying :p

My characters rarely did the first unrelated to the act itself, never did the next three and were unfazed by the magical sky dude follower's rants.

They may have been schtupping their relatives, but they had ethics and behaved in a civil manner.

The one salient fact about the Literotica readership that we all must keep in mind is that it's huge. And that means there's going to be at least some people out there for almost every taste and kink. This fact should, I think, encourage authors to take chances and explore writing stories with kinks that they may fear will turn off some readers. You shouldn't write for those who don't share your kinks; write for those who do, and for your own tastes.

So, if I understand correctly, for some the draw of incest-genre is "how it got there," and not "this isn't going anywhere from here, and oh, it's so boring?"
What I find troublesome in this is that it's the destination that matters, not the journey.

A good I/T story will have an interesting and erotic way of breaking the taboo and building up the suspense and overcoming reluctance. In my Cowgurlz stories, it started on a mechanical bull.

Of course, describe the sex.

But afterwards, rather than a dominant relationship, I like I/T stories where the two are actually in love and want to keep it going. This creates a tension as they balance desire against fear of being discovered.

The I/T endings can be problematic, because riding into the sunset together is a social taboo. If one of the two find another love, it can feel like cheating. Or the ending becomes a break-up, which can be a downer. So most I/T ends after the taboo is broken.

FWIW, if you seek external validation- Do not write a story about a fit, athletic brother, who after having a heartfelt conversation with his equally fit slightly younger sister, is shown the source of her current relationship woes. Don't have him demonstrate that he finds her well developed, highly sensitive, and significantly more prominent than most clitoris to be enticing rather than off-putting. Don't have him accept her as she is and enjoy giving her "blow jobs" or nickname her Vanessa. It will get savaged.

Wow so specific. I won't write that specific story! Though I haven't used Vanessa as a name for any of my stories yet... I gotta ask, are you making a reference to something?

Its the availability. The lust and horny eyes cannot avoid seing how attractive the women in the family are. And if is reciprocated feelings, its adds to the excitement. For example cheating and incest can be a combined intoxication. a mother seeing her handsome son can get some feelings of attraction and son sees it and finds it intoxicating. Mother getting bored with her husbands gets a new object who adores her and is attracted to her. This kindles intimacy.. thats how it develops.

Good to know.
