"Not really," he said. "Although, some of them can be fun." he wiggled his hand subtly and one of the barmaids jumped as if someone had grabbed her ass. She turned around and smacked a nearby patron. "That will show him not to cheat at cards," he said, turning back around.

Al'ika smiled at the display and she turned back to him. "They could be useful for when I go out," she mentioned.

"Let's not get ahead of yourself,' he warned. "You're the most capable student I've ever had and I don't want you to burn yourself out."

Al'ika groaned. "It's the best way I can keep Ashglow away from what belongs to someone else," she said softly. "Blue magic is subtler than regular arcane magic, is it not?"

"It is, but what did you have in mind?"

"I just want to cause Ashglow pain, so he associates painful sex with me, so he won't want that. Would it work?"

"You have four levels to get through before you can do that," he said. "Unless you're feeling brave, then I can give you a scroll. There is a major caveat to that though."

"I have to get through my relationship issues, don't I?" Al'ika groaned, resting her head on the table.

"I think you've done that wonderfully," he said. "The problem is, you have to be able to touch him to use it."

Al'ika nodded. "That makes sense," she said. "Could do that."

'It will only hit him once but it will hit hard," he said.

"Why only once?" Al'ika asked curiously.

"It hits the next time he has sex," he said.

"Got it. So. . . Should be good on other stuff, right?" she asked.

"Yes, after last night, you should be ready to experiment," he said. "Try to look up the ale goggles spell if you want to cast on other people."

Al'ika grinned. "Oh dear. . . That probably wasn't a good spell to tell me," she joked.

"Enjoy it," he said. "I'm headed upstairs. Good luck in your studies."

"Thank you, Jester," Al'ika told him, smiling before making her way back to Keth, Issak, and Flish. "Keth, Issak, a visit to Jep?"

"Sure, Issak said. "Think we should tell him about the dagger?"

Al'ika shook her head. "No, let's not get him riled up yet," she said.

"thought so," he said as they headed into the temple.

Al'ika smiled and kissed Jep's cheek. "How are you doing, brother?" she asked.

"A lot better. Thanks for working on the house, by the way." he said as Fate came back with water for him.

Al'ika smiled at Fate and her brother. "You're welcome. We'll continue working on it until you're good as new," she promised him.
