Xur sighed. "As you wish, Slave." he was rougher than usual as he dragged her back to the cells. "I wouldn't expect much sleep tonight. It's payday and the boys are taking bets to see who can break you first." he locked up and left.

Once Al'ika was sure that Xur was gone, she began to cry softly, but for a long time. She wept for I'eie, and her brainwashing. She wept for her situation. She wept for Keth, and how Ashglow kept his kids so he would serve. She cried herself to sleep.

Keth returned, doing his usual gruff routine. He saw Al'ika in tears, saw her marks and inflammations, and took her just a little more gently back to his room. As they passed two jailers, he growled, "Just cause Xur was rough no mean you get off light!" he yelled. Finally they were locked in and Keth laid her unchained on the bed.

Al'ika sat up on the bed after he unchained her and wrapped her arms around her legs and buried her face into her knees, not wanting to do much else. She took heavy, deep breaths, trying to calm down.

Keth removed his salve from the cabinet along with two new ointments. He used them on her pussy and the stinging and burning dissipated. "Better?" he asked. He noticed she was soaked. "excavator?"

Al'ika nodded, looking at him, her eyes sad and full of fear. "Thank you," she whispered softly.

"Keth scared too," he admitted sullenly. He pulled her arms away and saw the fist marks on her stomach. "That not gobbo hand. what happen?"

Al'ika curled up again. "The Mayor's daughter, I'eie, came and saw me while Xur had me," she explained softly. "Ashglow has her brainwashed so much, the girl thinks she's enlightened. Told me I'm no good, since I've been with you. Then she punched me a few times and stepped on my head. . ." Al'ika's eyes filled with tears again.

"You best human Keth knows," Keth said, holding her, face pressed against his barrel sized chest. He heard a collective jabbering from outside his door, so he yelled, "Clean cells! Human has do dance for my cock tonight!"

Al'ika couldn't help herself, she began to weep softly against his chest, making no sound, just letting the tears flow down her face.

"The usual," Al'ika whispered. "Food, a bath, comfort, and a warm bed." She began to calm down as Keth ran his fingers through her long hair. "I'm going to do it tomorrow," she added. "I can't. . . I can't do this a whole lot longer. . ."

"Some meat and ale, I don't care what the meat is," Al'ika whispered. "I just need the food. . . I need to keep my strength up. . . And I need a lot of it." She looked up at Keth. "Where does the magic barrier end? I'll be able to do more good if I can use my magic. It's the only way I have a chance against Ashglow."

"Ashglow leave to collect taxes tomorrow,' Keth said. Once out of dungeons, spells end." He threw on steaks and vegetables and poured a huge flagon of mead, handing it to her. "Once you have knife, look under tapestry in torture room."

"The tapestry?" Al'ika asked, taking a huge swig of mead. She cast her memory and found it. "Right, near the flogging post. What's under there?" She began to formulate a plan, based on the information Keth gave her.

"Nothing, yet," Keth said. "Trust me, it worth looking." he plated the food and handed it over. "Surprised Al'ika didn't kill me in my sleep on first night."

Al'ika nearly choked on her next sip of mead. "Why would I do that? Since I've been imprisoned, you've been nothing but kind to me. I don't just kill people for the hell of it, no that's boring. If you had attacked me, that would've been one thing. But I have no weapons here, no magic. And I don't kill people who are kind to me. Your kindness is what's been helping me, and I can't do this without you." She smiled a genuine smile, a small one. "And I thank you for your kindness."

"You human, me orc. me not know you yet." Keth said. "Hoped you would help me but thought maybe just kill because orc." he said, tearing into his steak and guzzling his mead. "So now you fed and comforted, but still wet."

"That's of no matter," Al'ika said softly. "I don't kill anyone just simply because of their race. And you have a family that needs you. Bek and Kat. I, I have no one," she said."And yes, I'm still very wet, which is annoying. Think I'm going to string Xur up after this is all said and done on his own excavator. . ." Her gaze grew thoughtful.

Al'ika cast off the wolf pelt. "Not in the ass," she joked. "Much like the first night. I enjoyed that a lot."
