The celebration for Alexandria and Tobias was a welcome distraction for Neveah. They had only met twice but Alex was a very understanding person plus she was human. Neveah was half wolf and half human, a mutt in some peoples' eyes. Her father was an Alpha from the Alaskan pack who was a friend to their Alpha, Tobias. Her mother, Sienna, had met her father, Elvin, at a club one night. It had taken only whiff of that scent and he had known that Sienna was his Fated. They had been together now for at least 80 years now. Neveah had 3 brothers (Markus, Daniel, Thomas) and 1 sister (Angel). Each had their wolves to guide them but for some reason, Neveah had never heard her wolf the way they did. At some moments, she wondered if she was more human than wolf.
Neveah was now fully matured, working as the pack doctor. Healing had always come naturally to her. She made her way to the gardens to have some quiet alone time. There was a known clique in this group that didn't take too kindly to someone like her. Neveah wanted to avoid them as much as she could. She just didn't need the stress. The gardens were the most place on the estate. Jasmine and roses scented the air so sweetly and with the twinkling of the star above, it reminded her of something out of fairy tale.
Neveah brushed aside a dark lock of her hair, trying to fight off the lonely feelings that rushed her. She kept telling herself that what she needed was a human mate, someone who wasn't a paranoid possessive animal that would drive her half crazy sometimes. Most of the males here paid her no mind. Neveah came from a big family so she couldn't help but want the same for herself. Her family life had been a happy one, filled with joy and laughter. Her parents were starting to worry since she spent so much time alone.
There was a noise in the background and she froze. Neveah felt a small pang of dread that it might be the very group she was trying to avoid. Lucinda could be a coldhearted bitch sometimes, especially now that she lost Tobias to a human. Her hatred of humans was well known now. She turned to see exactly who was watching her, her golden brown eyes flashing at first.
