Just take a deep breath...
I was jogging across the large park, my running shoes touching the gravel road with every step. Largely due to the great summer heat, I found myself exercising this evening in a rather revealing attire. It was against my better judgement, mind you. I wasn't really the type to do this, but nevertheless, I loved to stay in shape. The blinding light would have kept my eyes from the road, that said I was lucky to have a pair of sunglasses with me.
My nineteen year old mind was rather in distress these past few days, so a good run would manage to keep me distracted from worry, at least for a little while. After all, being in a relatioinship that was on the rocks, so to speak, wasn't exactly appealing. Not to mention, I came to the realization that I wasn't sure of what to do with my life. It was a very uncomfortable place to be in, I can assure you.
That all said; my name is Caroline Simmons.
Freshly out of high school, I was brought to the crossroads of my life. I was an outstanding student previously, but no matter what accomplishment, part of me felt empty. It didn't take much to realize why; despite living, I haven't lived a single day in my life. No sort of excitement or anything of the like.
Perhaps that would change? Nothing lasts forever, right?
