'Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.'
Even more chilling: "Mr. President, I'm not saying we wouldn't get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops. Uh, depending on the breaks."

A scene that is book-ended by two similar exchanges. The first is near the beginning:

"Who is the commanding officer here?" Reply, "Ain't you?"

Then at the end, "Hey soldier, do you know who is in command here?" Reply, "Yeah."

“I’m Felicity Shagwell. Shag well by name, Shag very well by reputation.”

- Austin Powers 2.

Most of that film series grossed me out or made me gack in other ways but I did like Felicity, Scott, and Dr. Doug Evil.

Thanks, I did pick up that info from IMDb.com. It seems fairly reliable about filming locations, although I'm not sure what they use for sources. There are a few people who create YouTube videos in which they visit locations for old movies, usually American ones.

There is an entire documentary called Los Angeles Plays Itself. The version with Spanish subtitles is the most readily available.

The nerve of those Whos!
Inviting me done there, on such short notice!
Even if I wanted to go my SCHEDULE Wouldn't allow it!
One o'clock, Wallow in self pity

Orphanage Headmistress: Now tell me what happened to you.
Mathilda: OK. My family, they got shot down by D.E.A. officers because of a drug problem. I left with the greatest guy on earth. He was a hitman, the best in town, but he died this morning. And if you don't help me, I'll be dead by tonight.

In my writing I rely a lot more on dialogue than narrative, my characters carry the story in words and deed

Because of my fondness for dialogue, great lines in movies really stand out to me. Usually ones that are snarky or funny because I use a lot of sarcasm in my stories, but a good line is a good line.

So what are some of your favorites and from what movie?
I love the exchange from Casablanca, where Renault (Claude Rains) is told by the Nazis to shut down Rick's Cafe. So he starts loudly proclaiming that the Cafe is now shut down and everyone must leave. Rick (Humphrey Bogart) comes up to him and asks on what grounds:
(Renault) "I am shocked... SHOCKED... to find there is gambling in this establishment!"
At that moment, a croupier comes up and hands Renault his winnings, with a "Your winnings, Sir."
Renault says, "Thank you. EVERYBODY OUT!"

Makes me laugh every time!!!

Rick shoots Major Strasser. Police come running up, see the dead Major, Rick holding the gun.
Renault: "Major Strasser has been shot. (Pause) Round up the usual suspects."

That's Not Fair! "You Say That So Often. I Wonder What Your Basis For Comparison Is."

"I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave."

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, looks you crooked in the eye and asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

Couple who have just won enough money at roulette to pay for a visa: "We'll be at the police station at six o'clock tomorrow!"
Renault: "I'll be there at ten."

He was such an apologetic scoundrel. The writers must have had a wonderful time with him.

Tawny: I'm afraid.
Seth Brundle: Don't be afraid.
Ronnie: No. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

The Fly 1986

“I’m dying inside.”

- Home Room.

“Mom caught me and my boyfriend in the pool. We weren’t swimming.”

- The Banger Sisters.

The many lines from Upside of Anger I mention in Rendezvous.

“You had me at hello.”

- Jerry Maguire.

“Sometimes you gotta say ‘what the fuck’.”

- Risky Business.

“Be excellent to each other.”
“Party on, dude.”

- Bill & Ted.

What's the movie with the line, you know, the one, the one everyone quotes? It's something about something, and everyone laughs when the actor says it?

Yippy Ka Ya Mothe fucker?

That's it. What movie is that?

I don't know, it's about a guy in a tall building, or a bus that can't slow down, or maybe the one with the shark.

He was married six times, so he must have had something going for him (he wasn't that tall, for sure). He definitely had gumption by serving in the British army through all of World War I. After being severely wounded on the Western Front in 1916, he went back and served in a non-combat role. He was a captain by the end.
