Favorite Movie?

I would totally go to the movies with you if I didn't live in New Mexico, about a zillion miles away from you:(. My favorite movie is Benny and Joon w/ Johnny Depp. It's good even if you're not into romantic comedies.

too bad you're by the cities and i'm in Moorhead cuz a movie would be great. I'm a fishing widow stuck at home this weekend and the weather is lovely as always...;)

I do however have PS I love you, and No Reservations on DVD to keep me entertained.

It's Catherine Zeta Jones and Aaron Eckhart...my sister in law recommended it so I thought I'd give it a try.

If you're a Johnny Depp fan, I saw Sweeney Todd last weekend, kind of gruesome, but in a total over the top cartoony way. If you liked Edward Scissorhands Depp, you'll like his look in this one.

All the women are a long ways away

DARN! lol.. I enjoy "I am Legend" but love the orginal movie "The Omega Man" with Charleton Heston. I think someone said that The Omega Man was actually from another movie.

I love Zombie movies too. Oh well guy movies i guess.:D

If i could find a female in the Dallas,TX area would love to go to the movies with her and eat popcorn and hotdogs

I've always been partial to older moves, as I was raised on the classics.

With that in mind, I'd love to see any of the Dirty Harry movies starring Clint Eastwood. :)

I am Legend was a good movie!

Hey lily did you ever see The Omega Man? i am guessing I am LEGEND was a remake because they used the same names such as Robert Nevil for Will Smith.

I do like Will Smith in movies; that dude can act

How about "Dawn of the Dead" and all those zombie movies? A friend got me hooked on the old one and then i bought the new remake and a few others.

Also I have a bunch of the "SAW" movies and i have never opened them waiting on the right chick to come over and get scared with me..HAHA

I've only seen the first "SAW" movie but never watched the other two they made. Heck there might be a forth one i missed.

Thanks for the movie thread!!!

I Am Legend (2007) is a remake of Omega Man(1971) which is a remake of The Last Man on Earth (1964.) All three are based on the novel I Am Legend (1954.)

Thanks for telling me the first movie.

I am not fond of reading so i missed the novel

I've seen the 3rd Saw movie, hubby has all of them I think. I'm really not a monster movie type of chick

Greatest film ever made, Tammy, was Maltese Falcon with Bogart from the book by Dashell Hammet. Sidney Greenstreet gave his best understated performance and Bogart was ... well, Bogart. ;)

I watched "Luky Number SLevin" and "Casino Royale" last night. Both really good. "Casino Royale" was much better than I anticipated, especially when compared to the more recent Bond movies.

Hard to call... so many great movies out there...

V for Vendetta is one. Amazing film, very well done, and I've watched it over and over again; love the original comics too, great stuff.

Serenity is alot of fun, plus I was a Firefly fan, so that helped - I watch that often too.

Dunno what else

My favorite movie ever, maybe, is The Gold Rush with Charlie Chaplin.
Watched Tommy Boy for the first time in many years, and was even better than I remembered.

Brain Donors needs to be watched by everyone. John Turturro's best role ever.

fav movie

Top Gun is the greatest movie of all time. Its got a quote to for every occasion.

Its a chick flick and a guy movie and when Goose dies your allowed to cry.

lol okay funny you mention it, but i just returned Gold Rush to the vid store about 10 days late....hmmm i wonder how much i owe them now?

Nobody here likes Star Wars? No Sci-fi geeks like me? :D How sad...

But I also agree with Kiba, Gladiator is a great movie, even though a little too "Hollywood"!

May The Force Be With You! Always!!!

OH yeah i have all the Star Wars trilogys plus everytime they come out with a new digital version with added scenes i buy them.

I'm a STAR WARS NUT and my entertainment center is filled with medium to large figures of Darth Vader, Darth Maul, R2D2, C3PO and some of the other characters in the other episodes.

Darn it that Star Wars is over for the big movie theaters, didn't care too much for the last three episodes but it tied together the entire story.

I hated to see it come to an end.

May the force be with you. HAHA

I love Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I still laugh when i watch it. I don't like the Life of Brian as much, still funny though.

Shawshank Redemption - fantastic movie - great cast - Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman were outstanding in this one...

Hunt For Red October with Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin is right up there for me as well...
