If you watched MTV in the 80's then you must remember... Fish heads, Fish heads, roly poly fish heads.. eat em up yum yum - Roly-poly fish heads are never seen drinking cappachino in Italian restaurants with Oriental women.......yeah

"Fish Heads" was by a group called Barnes & Barnes. Their next biggest hit was "Boogie Woogie Amputee" (I shake my rump/you shake your stump).

I feel bad because some of these one hit bands actually had a lot of good songs that US Top 40 ignored (Simple Minds, Madness, etc.) But my favorite one hit wonder would be "88 Lines about 44 Women" by The Nails. Close runners-up would be "Whole of The Moon" by The Waterboys and "Build Me Up, Buttercup" by The Foundations.

Slow Ride by Foghat is one of my favorites by one hit wonders. And yes, I am that old.

How about "Wild Thing"...I believe it was the Troggs? I suspect you could include, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". I don't remember the artists' names but I remember they were clowning around, didn't realize they were being recorded by their manager, and thought the recording was junk. The manager sent it around to some djs and the public loved it. Never heard from that group again.
