Favourite Book Series

[Ticklish Girl]

My favorite is probably Dennis Lehane's private eye series featuring Patrick Kenzie and Angie Gennaro. I've read 4 of the 5 books, and they just keep getting better. Lehane doesn't flinch in his portrayal of both physical and psychological violence, and he really knows how to write a suspenseful narrative.

A close second is John Sandford's Prey series, because Lucas Davenport is a great character and Sandford is very good at creating fiendish criminals to oppose him.

No one mentioned "The Dark Tower" series. YEAH, OK, so SK isn't done with it yet, but it's still a series. I, also, am A HUGE Harry Potter fan. I read the first 2, and I just couldn't put it down. I'm PISSED, though, because I can get a discount at Walmart,(since I work their,)and recently they ran out of the last 2 installments, and havn't gotten a new shipment. BUMMER!!!!!!!!!!! Guess I'll just have to wait until my local bookstore library gets them in.

Anything by VC Andrews or Anne Rice can be found on my book shelf. As for any spefics.....

Anne Rice is also a VERY GOOD writer. It's just cool of she links all the Vampire Chronicles together. I JUST finished "Queen of the Danmed." Not sure if I liked the implification about men and war. I wasn't sure if she was trying to bash men, or what, but I didn't like that part of the book.
