So I was at an event called Leather Tastings this weekend, which is BDSM related and I won't go into details, but one of the booths they had set up was full of safe sex information and different kinds of condoms to sample. I picked up a few female condoms.

The female condoms appealed to me because most of the non latex condoms I've used have been, well, the consistency of a 2x4, and most brands don't protect against STDs. These condoms, designed for women, protect against STDs and pregnancy, and also are non latex.

I thought, free condoms, why not pick up a few.

Now, I haven't had sex in a long time, and don't really plan to any time soon, but I'm dying to know what these feel like. Are they different sensation wise than their male counterparts? I'm totally unwilling to set up a casual encounter to find out ;)

If anyone can please share their experience with the group, that'd be swell.

They have been around a while but I've yet to hear anything good about them. From a pure safety issue I'd rather have the penis tightly wrapped than a bag in a wet pussy.

but have you tried one?

I am curious about female condoms, too. I've never tried them, so it would be great to hear from people who have.

We bought some so we could safely do anal to vaginal sex, both of us thought it would be fun to alternate holes between strokes, ass, pussy, ass, pussy, ass, and so on. Unfortunately, it didn't work well, the female condom wants to full out with me on each stroke. We also tried it for just vaginal sex prior to alternating holes, and it didn't work any better; it was not for lack of lube. Maybe they get better after using them for awhile, but we couldn't seem to get the hang of it.

They are kind of klunky, awkward, and odd. You have to use lube (sometime a good thing) but they are mostly just odd. When we had them we used them every once in a while until they were gone.

I've tried the female condom too when they first came out - I didn't like them, they don't feel safe and it did keep moving around and I had to keep checking to make sure it hadn't slipped. And because of this fear of this condom moving, it really spoiled the moment . :( I only used two and got rid of the others.

tried them for anal once--

I put one in her ass so would could alternate between anal and Vaginal sex. This is something she has been talking about for a while, Turns out that on the end of it there is a ring that kind of holds it on place on the inside. This ring was really bothering her and after about 2 mins we took it out and stopped. She later read somewhere that you can take the ring out. We haven't got around to trying it without the ring but I'll let you know when we try it again.
