‘FIND NOW’: Trump blasts the FBI for not ratting out leakers in early morning Twitter rant

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday attacked the Federal Bureau of Investigation, saying the agency has been unable to stop people from giving national security information to the media and calling for such leakers to be found “now.”

Trump’s comments, in a series of tweets, come amid media reports that the FBI refused a White House request to knock down recent stories about contacts between associates of Trump and Russia during the presidential campaign.

State Department memo warning against leaks quickly leaked to the media

The State Department issued a memo warning against leaks that was promptly leaked to a journalist.

The Feb. 20 memo issued by acting legal adviser Richard Visek explained how Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was authorized to protect certain types of “sensitive but unclassified” information, reported the Washington Post.

The four-page memo, which itself was marked sensitive but unclassified, argued that leaks chilled policy discussions and harmed the State Department’s reputation.

CPAC scrambles to control damage after attendees wave Russian flags during Trump speech

Staffers at CPAC quickly scrambled to confiscate Russian flags with the word “TRUMP” on the front that were being waved by attendees during President Donald Trump’s speech on Friday.

The trouble began when some staffers handed out pro-Trump flags to wave during the president’s speech that also happened to have the same white-blue-and-red striped pattern as Russian’s official flag.

Hurray for the White, Blue, and Reds! Oh, errrr, let me have those back!

‘In Trump’s America, flag wave you’: Protestors take credit for Russian flags at CPAC

Earlier reports noted staffers were scrambling to do damage-control when they realized attendees were waving Russian flags with “TRUMP” written on them during his remarks. The flags were quickly confiscated but not until after photos had circulated the internet.

The people behind the action were protestors, 22-year-old Jason Charter and 36-year-old Ryan Clayton who managed to pass out nearly 1,000 flags ahead of Trump’s speech.

“Most people didn’t realize it was a Russian flag, or they didn’t care,” Charter told the Atlantic. Instead of calling it a “false-flag” operation, they called it a “true-flag operation.” That’s what Clayton told the outlet in a phone interview, “in a thick, mock Russian accent,” the Atlantic reported.

Getting high in Trump’s America

The Trump administration’s indication that it will crack down on states with legal recreational marijuana is already facing opposition. After leading marijuana advocacy groups called the move a grave “mistake,” states have also begun voicing their dissent.

Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson said he will defend the state’s marijuana law that legalizes pot. In an interview Thursday, Ferguson reportedly said: “I will resist any efforts by the Trump administration to undermine the will of the voters in Washington state.”

In a Feb. 15 letter addressed to U.S. attorney general Jeff Sessions, Ferguson and Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, a Democrat, listed out arguments in favor of the state’s marijuana industry. They said it was effective in removing illegal dealing and brought large sums of money into the state’s coffers. The letter also said that in order to get a license, citizens must undergo criminal and financial checks, reducing any risks to the industry.

Parts of that dossier have been corroborated so far, which lends credence to the idea that some of the more troubling reports that Donald Trump has been compromised by the Russians are accurate.

“So there’s a lot of FBI investigations, but the White House is not cooperating in any of this. When the Chief of Staff even talks about this with the number 2 man in the FBI, he’s sending signals.”

A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll contained the worst news yet for Trump. By a more than two to one margin (53%-25%), the American people want Congress to investigate Trump's communications with Russia.

All of Trump’s behavior from his claims of fake news and fake polls to banning journalists from attending press briefings can all be traced back to the Russia scandal.

The White House is already showing signs of being completely freaked out about Russia, but this new NBC News poll is proof is horrible news for the Trump administration that should send a wave of terror through 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue because if an investigation happens, impeachment becomes a possibility.
