ohh you guys are going to write a final fantasy story ?!? boy this might be my department . i think that final fantasy 6 and 8 were the greatest of all time. 7 was ok and 9 was more or less for the school ff player ( such as myself ) and lastly i have to agree final fantasy 10 was a big dissapointment. basicly the only thing that kept me hocked in the grf and the voices.. and cause im a dork. and 11 looks ok but if it anything like everquest ill never buy a final fantasy again ( ok i will but i wont play it i have all 10 so far 
) anyhow i think 8 would be perfect to write. if you guys need any help i'ed be more then happy. i also know where to find some really good pics of the ff gang.
