Sirius felt flattered by Rufus's words.
"My mother would have slapped me had I ever ate any other way. Sirius felt slightly stupid for revealing all this to Rufus; she felt like he wouldn't care. She couldn't help but think that she was nothing in the eyes of everyone else in the world, although she still tried to be something.
