ooc: Looking for some flirting before going into sex. Send me a sample PM

Erika Miller was a lawyer who worked at a relatively big firm. She was brilliant and was the most requested when it came to cases. She was married, as much as one person could be married. She spent a lot of time at work and her husband who was a doctor did the same. But he was becoming more and more hostile towards her, always picking fights over the smallest things.

One of her co-workers, who was also married, was one of her dearest friends. The day seemed to be dragging on but as the office started to clear for lunch, she poked her head into his office. She needed a friendly face right about now since her husband had fought with her yet again this morning.

"Want some company for lunch?" She smiled as she leaned against the door frame, her black pencil skirt hugged her thick hips and her purple blouse was snug against her chest.

Steve Williams looked up as Erika asked her question. He noticed she was leaning against the door. As the newest person to the firm Steve had been trying to make more friends than enemies and he was glad that his greatest competition at least wanted to spend time getting to know him.

It took him a moment before he realized what time it was while looking at her.

"Oh, shit, hi Erika," responded Steve. "I didn't even realize what time it was. Where were you thinking of going?" he asked.

Erika was having a pretty shit day. She got into it with her husband yet again this morning. He was a hot shot doctor but as of late, he was becoming a shitty husband. Erika felt like she couldn't talk to him about anything. Most nights she worked late just to avoid another fight with him.

Steve was new to the firm and the new person didn't get treated so well. Steve was a nice guy so from the beginning, Erika was friendly to him and they struck up a friendship of sorts. And to be honest, talking with Steve gave her a much distraction from her disaster of a home life.

"I'm just headed to the cafe down the street if you want to come." She said. She knew he was married too but they were just friends.

"Oh that's cool. Let me just grab my coat and we'll head out," replied Steve. He had enjoyed having the company of Erika when they went out to lunch, which was about once a week. He slowly got up from the piles of cases that were on his desk.

"I'm still trying to figure out if I'm being punished for what happened on the Collins case or if the new guy just gets stuck with this massive workload," he stated as he went to the door. "Please, feel free to lead the way, Erika."

"Honestly, I wouldn't sweat it to much. Usually they work the new people to the bone." She told him as they left the office building and headed towards the cafe down the street. "At least people like you. I'm not too popular around here but that's okay." She said with a laugh. Erika just had too much going on in her home life to keep up with all the gossip of the office.

"So besides having too much work, how are you?" Erika didn't have a long line of friends at this office so it was nice to have a friend in Steve. He was good at what he did and she new she could always go to him if she needed to bounce ideas off anyone about any of her cases.

Steve looked at her as they were walking down the street. "Really? With your figure and looks I find it very hard to believe that you're not popular," he stated. They sat down at the cafe and waited for their server to order their food.

"I didn't think I'd be swamped with five cases at once, to be honest. It definitely makes work more challenging." They ordered their food after a few moments. "My wife isn't too happy with my hours since I've been staying late at night, but she doesn't mind my pay though. The last credit card statement felt like a brick with her shopping habits," joked Steve. "How are things going with your husband?"

She didn't realize he had five cases at the same time. She knew the firm worked the new guys and ladies hard but five cases was entirely too much for one person. She liked Steve, he was a nice guy and she'd hate to see him leave if the work became too much. Honestly, he was probably the only person who was actually nice to her at the whole firm. "If you need any help with any of you cases, I'd be glad to help." She said. Honestly, she would rather throw herself into her work rather than be at home and deal with her husband.

She heard Steve mention her husband and she let out a heavy sigh. "He's kinda been an asshole lately to be honest." She said, taking a sip of her water. "He likes to pick fights with me about stupid shit." She said. She didn't know why she felt compelled to tell Steve all of this. She figured he was going to regret asking her about her husband. Erika decided to leave out their nonexistant sex life, him almost never being home, and when he was home he was attached to that damn iPhone. She figured Steve didn't need to know about all that.

"Well if he likes picking fights with you over stupid shit then why don't you just leave him?" Steve asked after taking a bite of his food. "From what I hear you're the top divorce lawyer in the town. I mean, from what I heard you haven't lost a divorce case in a long time," stated Steve.

He looked over at Erika as she was eating. He let out a small sigh as well. "At least you aren't alone. My wife has been a bit of a drama bitch lately as well. I know when I get home tonight she'll be wondering why I'm home so late, if I'm a partner yet, etc etc. And frankly I'm tired of hearing all the nagging with her."

"I'd like to think I'm pretty good at what I do but I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to that. It seems like I can't get him to spend any time at home and when he does, it usually ends up in a fight. And if not that, he's usually too attached to his damn phone." She didn't know why she was explaining all this to Steve but she found it easy to talk to him.

" I'm sorry about your wife. I know that's not easy." She said as she sighed heavily and continued to eat lunch. The sad part was that it was easier to talk to Steve than her own husband.

"The firm is truly lucky to have you. You're great at what you do."

"Thanks," replied Steve. "At least he's working a real job and not just mooching off of your hard work like my wife is doing."

He smiled at her as they continued to talk after they finished their food. "Did you want to get a glass of wine or anything before we head back to the office?" Steve inquired.

She smiled a bit. She didn't have too many friends at the firm so it was nice to be able to talk to Steve. The only unfortunate part of the whole thing was that they both were Gavin trouble at home. Erika thought about the fight she had with her husband this morning and it made her angry. He had turned into a class A asshole.

"You know, that glass of wine sounds wonderful right now." She figured a class of wine would take the edge off a bit and help her cool down a bit. She liked being able to talk to Steve, somehow talking to him made her less angry about her husband situation.

Steve ordered a glass of wine for both of them as they watched a lot of the other people start to head back to work. "I know I won't be driving anytime soon in the next several hours, so it's alright," chuckled Steve.

They were sipping on their drinks as they continued to talk. "So are you working on any interesting cases right now, Erika?" asked Steve.

"A few divorce cases but nothing overly exciting." She said. "Honestly, the cases keep me busy and keep me at work late so I like it that way. That way I can avoid World War 3 as much as possible at home." Erika was a private person for the most part but she found it so easy to talk to Steve. It was like he understood where she was coming from.

Erika normally didn't drink wine at lunch but she had a crap morning and the thought of going home to her husband wasn't something she looked forward to because he was always attached to his phone. The wine was going to her head a little bit because for the first time she was noticing just how attractive Steve really was.

"I don't see why your husband ignores you. I mean if I was with you, I'd definitely not be playing with a stupid phone and ignoring you," Steve stated. "I mean, doesn't he see how good looking you are? He's got to be an idiot to pass up spending time worshiping your body." Steve decided they weren't at the office so hopefully Erika wouldn't report him to human resources. "Honestly, if I had a free pass I'd be trying to get with you, Erika."

The thought had crossed his mind a lot and he figured she should at least know about it. Maybe it would help her day a little bit, or help with her confidence.

She couldn't believe what he had just said to her but she surely didn't mind. She couldn't even remember the last time her husband paid her any sort of physical attention. She took a sip of her wine, even though she knew it was going straight to her head. She blushed a little at what he said.

"Thank you." She said softly, letting her eyes meet his. "And if you don't mind me saying, your wife is crazy for nagging you. You're brilliant at what you do and you're very attractive." She said. She knew it wasn't professional to say that but it was true. It was evident that he kept in shape and she often times thought he must have a killer body underneath his suit.

"Thank you, too," he said. "If you wanted to crash at my place tonight to avoid your ass of a husband I won't mind. My wife is out of town for a while, at least unofficially."

He looked her over to see what her reaction would be to his offer. He finished his glass of wine as she contemplated her answer.

"It's not like he'd miss me anyway." She scoffed as she finished off her glass of wine. Her husband wouldn't even notice if she didn't come home. They weren't sleeping in the same bed at the moment. Most nights she slept in the guest room.

"Sure you won't mind having me around tonight?" She smiled a bit. "It might do me some good to be away from him tonight." She said. She knew the thought was inappropriate but she found him very attractive. And her mind was going towards places it shouldn't. She found herself wondering what his body looked like underneath his suits that he wore everyday.

"Not at all. Though in full disclosure, just like I said my wife is out of town visiting family, unofficially. Officially, we're separated at the moment." He signaled for the waitress to come over to take the check.

Steve stood up and helped Erika up as the waitress came back. He felt how smooth her skin was as he helped her up. "Should we start heading back to work?"

"Steve, I'm sorry about that. She doesn't know what she's missing out on." She said. "Thank you for lunch." She smiled a little bit as he helped her up. "Yeah, we probably should be heading back. We wouldn't want the head honchos throwing a fit." She joked a little.

Erika couldn't help but think what an idiot Steve's wife was. He was brilliant with his work, he was a wonderful guy who happened to be very attractive. If she wasn't married and he wasn't separated from his wife, she would be flirting with him. She could smell his cologne and it was intoxicating. She just felt lonely lately and she couldn't even remember the last time her husband paid attention to her.

Steve placed Erika's arm around his as they walked back to the building. "I wouldn't want to get into any more trouble with the bosses. I think they'd like that though after what happened with the CEO/CFO industrial case," he stated.

He let go of her arm as they entered the building and got on the elevator. "Feel free to stop by my office later and I'll make sure to give you directions to my place, or we can carpool."

"I'll stop by later." She said with a smile before heading to her office. She had a few meetings the rest of the day but she was distracted. She thought a lot about Steve and their lunch together. She thought it was a shame that he was separated from his wife. She had to be insane. He was attractive and brilliant, what women in her right mind wouldn't want him.

Erika called her husband and of course it went to voicemail. Big surprise there. She wrote up some paperwork for some of her cases, trying to get her mind off that asshole of a husband of hers. Before she knew it, it was 5pm and most of the attorneys were clearing out for the evening. She shut down her office and headed for Steve's office.

"Hey." She said, standing in his doorway.

"Hey, Erika. Come in," Steve stated. He held up a case file and said, "Case #1, ready for approval for trial next week." Then he dropped it and picked up another file. "Case #2 ready for approval" and then dropped it back down. "Cases #3 - 5 still exist, on my desk," Steve said with a sigh.

He watched as she swayed her hips over towards his desk as he stood up and got his coat. "How was the rest of your day, Erika?"

"Don't let it stress you out too much. You're brilliant at what you do. Hell, you're better than some of the attorneys who have been here for five years." She told him truthfully. For a minute, she swore she could feel his eyes on her body but she knew that must have been her head playing tricks on her. He was separated from his wife so there was no way on this earth that he'd be checking her out.

"Worked in some paperwork for an upcoming divorce case and sat in on some meetings, it was pretty dull." She said. She left out the part of her being distracted due to him.

Getting through the rest of the day after lunch had been a bit stressful for Steve. He kept thinking about Erika and how she looked. He figured at most she might be a few years older than him. Even with the few calls he took he still had a hard time getting the thought of her out of his head.

"Fuck it," Steve thought to himself. He figured he should at least give it a shot. For some reason he thought there was a lot of chemistry between the two of them, even though they were both married. He wrapped his arms around Erika's body and grabbed her ass as he pulled her close and kissed her deeply, throwing all caution into the wind.

It all happened so fast. One minute she was talking about her day and the next, he had come close to her, put his hands on her ass and kissed her. She couldn't even recall the last time her husband kissed her let alone out his hands on her. She knew she should push Steve away. He was married even if they were seperated but she didnt. She was lonely and the chemistry between them had been brewing since lunch.

She put her had to his face and returned his deep kiss. She had been lonely for quite some time and she just wanted to feel sexy in the eye of a man.
