Firefox went to crap years ago when it bloatwared up from 48m to over 200m just to load the program.
It's supposedly all about "enhancing the users experience" when the reality is that it's all about the Benjamins baby.
The new version doesnt transfer your old info ands wants you to create an account to better track/spam you.![]()
Chrome.
Every time I launch FF it nags me to update but won't because you have to download the new version, which I did, but won't use because it doesn't migrate all your crap.
The last update? I stopped updating at 54. Everything beyond that is utter crap, and large portions before it is crap.
Been running since 0.6 phoenix. What used to be a good, speedy browser is now chock full of shit, spyware, and bloat.
What this world needs is a good browser. And only a browser.
What we need is a new version of the internet. .
Well, if we had somebody in the FCC other than AShitPie paid tech lacky ......

I started using Firefox in late 2002 when I got my big fancy laptop, I loved it! Explorer already sucked and I wanted less bloat. It was perfect. Now? I fucking hate it. I still use it but I'm open for change. Any suggestions?
The FCC isn't the problem. It's the internet itself. Every platform out there HAS TO allow Google and MS to datamine. If they don't they get kicked out of the marketplace and locked out of existing websites.
AShitPie stopped Net Neutrality that would have gone a long way to fix that problem.
Not really. There are the Chromium browsers (Chrome, Vivaldi, Opera, Edge), Firefox (Gecko-based), and Safari (WebKit). Chromium-based compromise about 65% of all web browsers.
The real issue, and what it comes down to nowadays, is developers are the ones in charge of creating software and they have no clue what they're doing. It's a truism: never let your developers develop your software.
Given the least opportunity, developers will show off every bell, whistle, and cow bell they can rather than make something functional. They'll jam piles of yak manure into their software, then say it's the user's fault when problems occur because they don't know how to use the software.
Developers are of the mindset that they know best. You just shush. You're only a user, they're a developer. Don't dare tell them what to do. They know best.
Until someone, or some group, comes along and makes a browser, we are all stuck with the crap that's out there spying on us and forcing itself on us.
