Firestone tires and good sex

I prefer to think i'm merely misunderstood

On a serious Note....

:p

You go, girl. And remember, you're in good hands. Or is it Quality is Job One? Like a Rock?

Hmmm...I think I'll let my fingers do the walking.

Yeah, well, Pontiac built the Fiero, too, and that one exploded for no apparent reason. Not saying it's right to make rolling infernos, but lets be fair here.

One more thing also

:p

I highly doubt the Ford Motor Company is out of business Siren. They still own and manufacture the following brands:

Ford, Mercury, Volvo, Mazda, Jaguar, Lincoln, Astin Martin, and Land Rover. These are what they own up to publicly. Gawd only knows what else they're into.

I believe Bridgestone/Firestone is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford. Or so I've heard.

An interesting aspect of the Pinto case was that a $10 piece of plastic could have been added to each vehicle, shielding the gas tank from sparks. That, too, was considered too expensive.

It certainly didn't cost as much as the total punitive damage awards.

I drive (often at high speed) an Explorer with those damn tires, get a whopping 18mpg on a good day and it hasn't affected my sex life a bit.

The adrenaline rush of driving something that may become totaly uncontrollable and end in a rather spectacular fireball increases your lust for life and sex. It certainly doesn't result in a lowered sex drive ... only a lowered life expectancy.

I'm with Expertise!

Live every day like it is your last . . . it just might be. I figure when God is ready for me, he/she knows where to find me.

Hell, I can't think of anyone I'd rather end up in a fireball with than Expertise! LOL

Hey Patryn....

The reason I ask the questions I do is because I just love to hear from people like you.

blue

P.S. I don't own an SUV, SRV or S anything else.

Who builds school busses?

In Des Moines, Iowa officials are frantically checking the brakes on new (less than 3 yrs old) school busses due to potentially deadly defects in the brake lines. Gee, maybe they should check the tires too?

Hey Siren, not only do I not like Fords, but Fords don't like me....if I drive them, they die...

NOPE THE TIRE COMPANY IS JAPANESE OWNED

:p

113mpg Bobtoad?

Is that a motorbike or a mo-ped/scooter?

Just curious.

So add what you want to that information. Because under the american name (as with many companies now) is a Japanese Conglomerate that owns that business.

And if you think the Japanses companies give a shit about American safety and profits...then you are wrong. So if Ford takes a dive from their own greediness and stupidity, who profits? Well, just take a look at all the Japanese car companies for your answer.
[/B]

Speaking of Japanese companies, there's been a huge push recently in Japan for reform in the food and food-packaging industries. It seems that small lizards have been turning up in bags of potato chips and another company has admitted to recycling milk past its due date for use in cheese and other products. So they're doing it to themselves and not just people in other countries. And if corporations are doing it in Japan, what do you think American corporations are doing?

Almost makes you want to become (shudder) a democrat, doesn't it?

Stop it Gaucho, just stop it!

Al would have you all eating organicly grown sprouts and tofu burgers. And without you guys being permanently pissed off from all the red meat where would we get all the great made for TV wars/live fire displays.

BTW good to see you back.

The koreans have a word for the conglomerate corporate entity... chabol, pronounced chay-bowl. Koreans, much like the Japanese, see the chabols as villians. When they aren't makin movies about the North Koreans. Did you ever notice in anime that all the evil villians are corporations? In japanese video games, like Final Fantasy, all the evil villians are corporations? Americans prefer governmental style evil villains, and drug lords and that lot. Kinda says something.
