The lines kept ringing and it was a wonder that any of the girls could keep up with it. There were a total of seven of them in the new agency. Two were designated for phone lines and the rest were designated to answer calls. Lucie was the newest. The twenty one year old was the freshest of the batch and it seemed that she had quite a caseload. Her "pimp", an older woman of about forty, was fishing around until she had found the highest bidder. "Take this and put this in the navigator in your car. We found you a rich one..." Aleta smiled, the older but still beautiful woman, handed Lucie an address. "You'll be at a hotel tonight, penthouse floor. When you get to the desk you tell them you're there for discretion. Nothing more, nothing less." Lucie nodded her blonde locks bouncing slightly with the movement. As she walked down to her car the click of her stilettos marked every one of her thoughts. Would he be old? What kind of business did he own? Was he married? But most importantly what would he make her do?
She slipped into the audi which was lent to her by the agency. The slick black car was tinted in case any clients chose to do their business inside. Her hands type in the address and she was on her way. As she sped through the city streets her emerald eye traveled over each building. The deeper she went the taller the buildings got and the more extravagant. She pulled into the front lot of a building marked Le Pavillion. It was huge and possibly the most beautiful hotel she had seen in her entire life. Lucie stepped out of her car letting her blonde curly locks curtain her shoulders. She smoothed out the tube top dress she was wearing. The only thing she was wearing as a matter of fact. As she made her way to the hotel she kept her head high and her eyes focused. She leaned into the front desk as a meek face looked up at her. I'm here for discretion... She said smoothly the plump of her red lips singing out the words.
The clerk nodded and handed her a key marked penthouse. She took the elevator the entire way up trying to slow the beat of her anxious heart. When she walked out she was face to face with the penthouse door. It was the only one in the entire hall. She placed a hand on the doorknob as she slid the key through the slot. The light flashed green and she opened the door slowly. She stepped in and shut the door before looking around. She was almost breath taken by how fancy the French hotel was. She sure wasn't in Louisiana anymore. "Hello? Is anyone home?" She asked smoothly trying to hide the nervousness in her throat.
