First Kiss At 18

A religious community where people are raised to believe that underage kissing will instantly turn you into a pillar of salt.
FMC and MMC share a birthday. have grown up together. At midnight on their joint 18th, they kiss for the first time.

What happens?
Instant Lust?
Instant love?
Nothing?

Or was the clock wrong and they turn into pillars of salt?

I'd start the story about a month before the Big Day. They both know it's coming up, and have been looking forward to it for years. Now it's so close they can almost taste it.

Only for this story, let's assume the religious community considers NINETEEN the age when sex can begin. This is so the couple are Lit-legal even though they are not in-universe legal just yet.

Anyway, to avoid temptation, they agree to only talk on the phone or online until the day arrives. But they talk a LOT, planning and fantasizing about all the things they will do with each other. Kissing, licking, sucking, fucking in every possible position. They research fetishes online and come up with long bucket lists of activities to try. They each get so horny from each conversation that they have to hang up and go jerk themselves off.

The idea is to get the reader as frustrated and frantic as the characters are, not being able to wait for the final consummation.

The big finish could go a number of ways: happy and successful with the real sex being even better than they had hoped it could be; or maybe they are disappointed since reality rarely lives up to fantasy; or maybe when they finally see each other's genitals they are completely put off and realize that they are gay; or maybe something tragic happens like one or both of them are killed in an accident the day before their birthdays. Or lots of other more ironic endings. Of course HEA is always the most satisfying for the most readers.

Or...during one of their many phone calls, discussions turn into phone sex which turns into orgasms for both. Their phones drop during their euphoria and shut off. Each is afraid to call the other as they might have been turned into a pillar of salt for having some type of sex before 19.

The next day, they meet at school, relieved neither turned into salt, and then wonder. Maybe we can do this phone sex thing more often. We discovered a loop-hole. Which then leads to "what other loopholes can we find?

Maybe nothing happens, and they just had it, felt no big with it, and moved on.

Maybe biology does biology and they fuck, but where? And how many people are involved? Are they going to watch? Are they going to join?

Is this for T/I, brother-sister story?

Is this some sort of secret society initiation or rite of passage?

With something this broad, the possibilities are endless...

If it was my story, one of those two would be a teacher being allowed to teach new things now.
