"First timer wife" :)

Is it just me or do people not own descent cameras anymore, you can pick up a 12 megapixel camera for $90 and have sweet looking photos.
First Time Wifer! Buy a new camera I am sure you are totally HOT but your pic does not show it..

quit complaining. nobody else seems to mind.
 
To respond truthfully, at one point I did own a *very* nice Sony digital camera- but it was stolen at our wedding reception. I am cheap, yes, so I haven't bothered replacing it yet, despite my awareness of the relative inexpensiveness of decent cameras now. This was a first attempt, and sort of a whim. Something to try out for fun; not really an attempt at anything "big" or "fancy". Those were taken with my cellphone- an impliment not known for picture quality in any sense of the word. :p
Sorry for the offense? I will not waste time with such terrible pictures next time. ;)

No explanation necessary. I appreciate your efforts and having had a pic thread of my own once, I was also criticized for the somewhat deficient quality...but in a nice way. I am new at this stuff and learning, with a halfway decent digicam. No worries. There are plenty on here who appreciate it...and you. :)

I just thought an explaination may help ease the dissatisfied.. If things were by choice, of course my pictures would look exactly the same as magazine-run print ads.

I must say if they looked like magazine run print ads there would be of little interest.:)..Great Start...welcome

Then the pictures would not be as interesting or as appealing.

For me, it is the amateur aspect that turns me on more. Yes, a nicely framed shot, or composed shot is wonderful, but the depth of field and the lighting and all that is professional. Give me spur of the moment HOT shots (such as yours) any day!

May I ask where abouts in Michigan you are? Be as vague as you'd like (I'd suggest being pretty vague - e.g. southwest or central part of the state or UP or whatever).
