Florida Republican Governor Rick Scott has a 29% approval rating (already?)

The notion that if businesses have money that they will create jobs is a joke. Businesses hire when there's demand for their product. Microsoft has like 50 billion in the bank and they're not hiring (much) because demand for their crap is flat. Nobody bought the Zune and Windows phones were late to the market and mediocre compared to Android and the iPhone. You can give Microsoft a tax break or even a cash subsidy and they still will not have a reason to hire anyone.

while I give you a B for the attempt, you again miss several key points. Balmner is a jackass. Microsoft will struggle as long as he is there.

they have dropped the ball on phone's, slates, pads, music players, this and that. and there is nothing there, no excitement, no rush. all they have is windows.

so if they had someone like Jobs, they would be expanding.

so you still failed

Republicans like high unemployment because it relieves employers of the need to compete for employees. Consequently, economic growth goes to profits rather than pay increases.

what we need from Scott is to take property taxes back to Y2K levels

Not within the powers of the governor.

Are you sure they've gone up?

No state income tax and the state is drowning in its deficit. The solution? Cut more taxes!

Shrug, rates may have gone up. But with the decline in the housing market and low property values it's fair to ask if overall tax paid has gone up, even if the rate has.

I'm not going to take Jen at his word for anything he says. We just had an amendment here in FL a few years ago that reduced property taxes.

look at apple, they have money and they are expanding!

So even with all that money, what you are saying is that the market, CEO’s do not have confidence in Obama, right?

It was 1992...almost 20 years ago. And it was created to neutralize the land speculation inflation that happened during the 2000s. Governments. of course, believed the inflation would last forever and spent like drunk sailors.

Apple is expanding because there's been growing demand for their products. Not by virtue of just having money.

that is correct! not only are they flush with cash, but they have product demand

in Merc example, Microsoft doesn't have that demand and consumers don't find Microsoft sexy like Apple.

He promised no new taxes without voter approval. It's a decent reason to hate on him. Hell I'm with the heads on a stick crowd here too.

However I'm confused. When the Bush Tax cuts were set to expire Obama keeping them where they were wasn't a tax cut, it was simply not a tax increase. Grey wants to keep taxes where they are instead of decreasing the taxes but that's being called tax increases.

Will Republicans please issue a Republican to English dictionary so I can keep up with the vast gulf between the words your using and what they mean?
You have been promoted. :D
