I will admit that yes, there were people who were there that day who did nothing more than hold signs and stand out in front of the capitol.

I will allow that no, People in both these categories should not have been prosecuted.

The prosecutions for the events on that day four years ago, were for the people who did more than just stand and hold signs. The people who actually engaged in acts of violence, vandalism, and threats- and yes, there were hundreds that did- should have been prosecuted.

The fact that these people- not merely the peaceful ones- were absolved from their crimes is one of the gravest injustices of this century. Just as bad as OJ Simpson being aquitted of murder- which I will admit, rankles me as much as it most certainly rankles you.
