The days following the President's visit have been busy. Talia had a overwhelming stack of files to read and memorize on the current war, histories of the countries involved and key personnel that has been marked of note. Between reading until her eyes burned and meals, Sergeant O'Halerin had set up a training regime on shooting, weaponry recognition, close combat blade work and strength training. Various officers of the Sagamore took turns in helping her train everyday. She spent more time in the training gym than in her own compartment.
Blaring alarms yanked Talia awake and she heard clanking noises as the airship went into lock for battle. Stuck in her compartment, she dressed herself in a long sleeved black tunic, flowing black pants and simple black boots. She braided her long auburn locks and knotted it out of the way. She pulled on a leather belt and slide the dagger sheaths onto it. She heard blasts of gunfire and other noises erupt about the airship. No matter what happens, she will not go down without a fight.
When the compartment unlocked, Talia cautiously opened the door and checked the Major's room. Once she gained the passageway, she realized that nothing serious had happened but she had no idea what had occurred. She headed towards the bridge. There were only two men on board that would answer her question and both of them would be in the center of command.
When she gained the bridge, Talia waited until the Major finished giving out orders before she sought his attention. "Major Pincheon, if I may have a word, sir."
