Angela Rye and Scottie Nell Hughes spar over the announcement that Baltimore prosecutors will drop the charges of the remaining officers involved in the death of Freddie Gray.

There are people that still believe that the idea of the "Wilding Teens, " is a real thing.

They never bothered to look at the real story. It is not worth researching, but it is still convenient to use the myth as an excuse.


The information is at our fingertips, in 2016 But, so is social media.
When the boys lived under the threat of death by execution, no one had a smartphone.


The media outlets made profits from the sensationalism, but where were the journalists, to question the story ?

People screamed for the teens to be given the death penalty.

A re-examination of DNA evidence proved it was his semen alone found on Meili’s body, and just before Christmas that year, the convictions against each member of the Central Park Five were vacated by New York’s supreme court.

Following a 14-year court battle, the Central Park Five settled a civil case with the city for $41m in 2014.

Gray suffered that injury because he'd recently had surgery and was supposed to be home resting, not out on the street selling drugs.
