Here in Canada a few years ago we had a Minister of Manpower and Immigration in the Conservative government personally approve work visas for Eastern European strippers to make up for a "shortage" of workers in that field. He also personally checked on them in their workplaces to ensure they weren't just stripping to get into Canada.
