It was the end of winter term and after cramming for tests everyone agreed they needed a break. Everyone was meeting at some guys flat, he was a friend of a boyfriend or something. She was just supposed to bring the booze, and there was supposed to be around 12 of them. The weather looked crappy and she didn't want to carry the booze any further than she had to, so she arrived early.

The weather was looking worse and worse all the time, when she got there he told her about half the people had already canceled on him. She frowned, but she was already there as she laid out enough booze for a dozen people.

The room was a little cold and she noticed one big sofa across from one of those, hey I spent all my money on my TV and nothing on my furniture big screens.

"Food?" she asked, unsure who had been in charge of that, as he was a friend of a boyfriend neither of whom was here.

She looked vaguely familiar. Jack couldn't place her exactly, but he knew he had seen her before. They probably saw each other around campus all the time but just never met. Or something like that.

Jack helped her with the booze, that's what was expected of big, burly football players, or skinny, lean running backs like Jack. There was alot of booze! Jaegger, tequila, whiskey and goldschlagger among the hard stuff; Tequila Rose & X-Rated X-Fusion among the softer stuff. Somebody expected to get trashed tonight.

When they got all the booze inside and she took her jacket off Jack failed hardcore at trying not to stare. She was a very attractive girl, alone with him in his apartment. Some very naughty thoughts were going through his head. That he'd just gotten a porno in the mail that day, Lesbian Orgies 4, didn't help. Jack shook hihead to try and clear it before she caught him staring.

He noticed her looking at his 65 inch high definition projection tv. He was about to tell her the story behind it when she turned to him and asked, "Food?"

"Uh, I've got some chips." Jack shrugged apologetically. "One of the girls was bringing a huge bowl of pasta, but she's not coming. We could order pizza or chinese or something."

He crossed the room and offered her his hand.

"I'm Jack."

Maggie

"Maggie," she shook his hand noticing how warm and large it was. She noticed the snow was coming down. "Any place you can get to deliver is fine, but if you choose pizza I like Italian sausage and black olives."

She fixed herself a rum and coke, with a generous amount of rum. It looked like it might just be the two of them, and she intended to enjoy the alcohol, and perhaps more. Maggie had alcoholics in her family, and could hold her liquor with even the strongest football players, so she was in no danger of impaired judgment.

She plunked herself down on the couch and flicked on the TV.

Her hand was soft, but firm and Jack couldn't help but smile. He let her hand go after a normal handshake, but for some reason he couldn't get the stupid grin off his face.

She went off to mix a drink and Jack moved over to the TV and picked up a 100 count CD binder off the ground. He'd put all his DVDs in there. It wasn't full, but it was easier than carting around a bunch of individual cases. Especially when his collection was made up almost entirely from the $5 bin at Walmart. Oh there were some great classics in there, The Princess Bride, Short Circuit, Robin Hood, both the Prince of Thieves and Men in Tights, but nothing very modern. He tossed the binder on the couch as he walked back towards the kitchenette, passing Maggie as she headed for the couch.

"Sausage and Black olives, got it. I'm going to wait a little, see if anyone else shows up. Steve was supposed to bring some new releases or bootlegs or something, but I don't think he's coming."

Jack broke out the Jaegger and mixed it with some Dr. Pepper. Not the classiest drink in the world, but not bad either. He came back to the couch and sat down next to Maggie, but with enough space between them that it wouldn't seem like he was coming onto her.

She was still flicking through channels, weather reports flashing along the bottom.

"Well if they aren't on their way, they probably aren't coming." She took a slow drink, "I hope the delivery person has chains on their tires." She joked, she flipped through his selection, "Nothing more recent?" she asked. Then she spied the red netflix envelopes.

"Sweet," she reached for the envelope and yanked one open.
