Fun Texas Girl Looking for to Meet Men

If I see you when I go to the last of the Hobbit movies I will smile at you. I promise not to cuss even if you say it is sold out.

So, yesterday was my last day of freedom before my ten day work week starts, to relax I baked this cake. I can't for the life of me get cakes out of pans though so half of it fell apart. Fortunatel,y I've gotten great about throwing crumbled cake in a dish and pouring icing on it. Works out great. But below is the part that actually came out. It was an apple spice cake with cream cheese filing and praline icing with toasted pecans. It was so friggin yummy!

I watched it with this snobby friend who kept calling it a guy movie and rolling her eyes. I kept thinking, yes, yes it is and I love it!

It really annoys me when my mate won't see a movie because he is afraid his girlfriend will think it is a guy movie. It basically leaves out all action movies, sci-fi movies and half of all other movies. Pretty much most of the big budget, must-see on large screen movies are out.

I just head and see them on a Tuesday night here. Cinemas are less crowded.

I wonder if that's universal? Tuesdays are one of our slowest days. When I go to the movies is usually on Tuesday or Wednesday. Watch with as few people as possible.

I love movies. I definetly have a preference for action/adventure, sci fi, fantasy. But I'll watch almost anything at least once. But I think it's silly when people turn their nose up at movies for silly reasons. And if you judging an action movie the same way you would judge a serious drama I feel like all that person really wants to do is bitch. I mean honestly I watch movies with Vin Diseal because I know someone is going to get their teeth punched in at some point. I don't judge that movie the same I would if Tom Hanks was in it.

I think it's just as awesome to go to a movie and have fun, not discover the meaning of life or walk out in a tiff because it failed to revive your faith in humanity.

Probably not. Though in fairness it's one of those snazzy bundt pans that has way to many indentions to be of any real practical use.

P.S. It was supremely delicious!

Whoa, whoa, whoa! I bake. :) My cooking is a work in progress. lol I can bang out a couple of staples and skate by, but I've been proposed to over my cakes, not so much for my steaks. lol

So looks like we will be opening up the Steak N Cakes?

Have you not got a cake pan with a push out base? Or the type where the side unclips and opens up?

I do in fact have a silicon pan but the comedy that ensues when the clumsy operator the flimsy is even more ridiculous than watching my attempt to shake out a stuck cake. As for a pan that unclips, I do have one but I wanted it to be fancier than just a round cake. I reached too high. lol

Ah I see, operator error then, I've exhausted my knowledge of cake baking and pans so I can't help, sorry. :D

Fortunately I've gotten great about throwing crumbled cake in a dish and pouring icing on it.

When I was at school I made a Pineapple tart which turned out great, by the time I'd walked home from school carefully carrying it in a biscuit tin it had become a pineapple upside down cake! I was about 11 years old and gutted, my parents just scooped it out and served it up in bowls.

Sometimes, bowl cake is the best way to roll. It's still good, maybe not as pretty, but isn't it what's on the inside that counts? lol

I had this woman today, demand that I let her sample my wine at our bar. She quote "just want a taste to see what I like. I don't want to pay for some thing I don't like." When I tell her that's not how this works she rolls her eyes at me and asks, "Aren't you a bar? " she asks this like bars operate like Marble Slab.

Uh, yes, I'd like to try a teaspoon of Chardonnay, I'm not sure if I'll want that or some Rocky Road.

Common sense people. Whatever happened to it!? It's not just the level of stupidity that drives me crazy, it's the arrogance in that stupidity that makes me lose my cool.

Should have given her half a shot glass of wine spiked with tequila (or some other gross combination) just to teach her a lesson.

Ah, finally, at home with a bottle of rum and a batch of brownies to make. This should be fun. :)
