I too am getting a bit bored with WoW looking for a change i think...not sure what yet but somethin! I love my guild and I love the progression Im just getting bored!

Yep...I've been playing the Beta...sadly it ends tonight . But, it was fun. Too bad I don't have the $300 to get CE version nor the Lifetime Membership (how pimptastic is it to play the Borg). Plus, I want the "Khan" emote and the TOS Constitution Class ship.

Yea i log on to raid and thats pretty much it. Other then that Im not on as much as I use to. I come on sometimes to farm ore so i can make gold. My friend plays Star Trek Online...but Ill admit Im really not into Star Trek. I know as a gamer thats odd LOL. But I was never a gamer before WoW!! You should try STO out. It's a lot of fun. A different step from WoW. As for Sims, my wife plays that. Right now, my comp barely has enough to play STO...I need a better video card to ply Sims 3. Although, all I did in Sims 2 was get make WooHoo, because I could, and then ditch the women (because I was too lazy to raise the kid)...although that's not how I am in real life. Also I'm playing Left 4 Dead 2...gotta love Zombie Survival. I know if a real Zombie Apocolypse happened, I'd survive.

Woot. I'm glad my tax refund came in. I got my new video card and it's a godsend for my gaming. Now to try some games online via Steam.

How is everybody doing? I've been playing Bioshock 2. What an awesome game. Good twists and turns in the story and beautiful graphics. Anybody else playing this? The multiplayer takes some time getting used to as it has a very RPG feel to it (you have to play the multi-player more to level up and access more guns/plasmids).

Also, I just picked up the new Aliens Versus Predator. Oob...talk about incredibly spooky.

I love WoW, but I think you're mistaken. I started off as Alli, but started playing Horde so I could play with my man too. While I still enjoy my Alliance toons, I have found that they are much easier to level quickly. I think it's because all of the questing/leveling areas are more tightly compacted and easily accessible. I like the challenge I get playing Horde. I've also noticed that there is a much higher adult : younger teen ratio on the Horde side, even though there is a high Horde : Alliance ratio. That may, however, be server related as opposed to faction related. Who knows.

Having played since Closed Beta, I've watched both sides evolve. And I've always played on a PvP server. So, I'm more than willing to admit that my bias is from that point of view, too. But, whereas the Alliance areas are close together (to a point), they start being PvP zones at level 14 (Hillsbrad Foothills or Astranaar) and don't really stop from there on in. At least the Horde can level to 25 in the Barrens without hitting PvP. I understand that the Barrens is friggin' huge. But it's still Horde territory. Add into the fact that Horde get a teleporter to Gnomergan, just outside of Ironforge and the Alliance has to run right NEXT to the Undercity to go to Scarlet Monastary, I think there's a bit of a bias there, too. Quest rewards are also better on Horde side, there are a number of quests that both sides complete. Alliance will get some Green trash item and Horde can get some nice Blue item.

As for maturity. I've seen it on both sides. There were 2 Guilds on my Server, Shattered Hand. Panther Moderns and Hit List. Their primary goal was to restart world PvP. So they went around with their level 70 (TBC era) toons and ganked anyone in a contested zone. That's ALL they did. No PvP stuffs, no PvE progression. Just ganking lowbies. And then there's Serenity Now. So...it happens on both sides.

I played WoW but then had to stop, and when Aion came out I thought I would give it a try. I like it so far. People are great, not as many young kids play it as WoW, so you can actually have conversations with the majority of people.

I did like the many options you had for changing how your toon looked I think WoW could deffintly take some of that. Cataclysm...yes...where the Gnomes finally take back Gnomer. Sky ganking. Noobs doing "Legacy" dungeons as Heroics. Ahh...the fun that will be had. Right now, I'm just not into WoW. I still keep my active account. But STO is really getting my geek going.
