Gate of Kelga: Lost Orb (IC)

Pallox gave the message he had been sent with to tell the Jarl before looking for a place to sit. He had noticed the reaction that Tyr had towards him, but he brushed it off for the time being. He was just here to do a job for now, not play nice with others.

He had just found a place to sit when the female walked in through the tent flap. He had heard the roar outside, knowing it was probably the dragon he had spotted earlier. He raised an eyebrow for a moment when the woman was introduced as the dragon, and she knew his name. She seemed somehow familiar, and the Jarl had said she was an advisor.

"Hello, Tamaria."

He sat back a little, crossing his arms across his chest. He hoped this would be worth the effort of coming.

Tamaria bowed again, but her mind was more set to Phallox. She wondered if he remembered her or not, she knew he didn't, at his reaction towards her, it saddened her, She remembered the nights they had shared together, and the comfort and reassurance, she remembered being sent away, and when she returned he had amnesia, she never saw him since the time before she had left. "Continue the conversation, my apologies for interrupting." Although she really wasn't, she looked at Phallox a quick moment before fixing her attention on the Jarl.

The Message that was given to Redbeard was for the King of Frilon, for the king to produce a certain ice heirloom called the coldcomb.
"Who did you say gave you this message?" Jarl Redbeard asked the half-dragon now worried. As the secret of the coldcomb was known to only a few.

Tyr remained silent but on guard. Too many people were coming too close to his Jarl. So far none of them had done anything threatening but that could chance in a heartbeat.

Tamaria listened quietly, she looked at Tyr, who had a uncomfortable look about his eyes. She read his unsettled thoughts, he was on edge. About the Jarl. Too many people. They locked eyes, before she gave him a slight nod of reassurance, but had no expression.

D'Aris stopped full in his tracks with such suddenness that O'Bonn nearly catapulted over the reigns.

The elf saw the dire wolf at a full run, then, and he wondered for a moment why such an animal would be here, where dire wolves seldom were seen.

His horse reared, then, and O'Bonn cursed in Elvish and was nearly tossed from the saddle.

There was a rider, there, coming towards him. A female, small-framed, lithe and powerful.

Familiar.

"Easy," he spoke to his mount in his native tongue. The horse snorted and stamped his foot. No doubt he expected O'Bonn to draw an arrow and stop this wolf's run. Yet, O'Bonn saw the wolf was not interested in him, but the rider approaching. It was impossible to tell the wolf's intentions...a wolf at a run looked equally menacing whether they were attacking or not.

O'Bonn reached behind him and pulled his bow from its saddle strap. The black wood of the bow glimmered with the light of the fading sun and the ancient elven script upon it glistened in the mist that fell lightly. O'Bonn knocked a broad head arrow and took aim.

Idrial's eyes narrowed as she saw the rider take aim she whistled a quick sharp signal the wolf broke off heading for her dodged to the left moving away before coming back and around her as the wolf moved left Idrial's horse passed where it had stood she rained it in rearing it turning the horses body to block the Elf's shot.

The hood of her cloak fell back as she did so she leaned forward to keep her seat. The flapping of birds wings could be heard as the hawk flew down nearly into the Elvin riders face it did not attack but the air from its wings could be felt as it flapped there for a few seconds before another whistle called it off and it flew away.

Idrial by this time had righted herself as well as steadied her mount. The hood of her cloak had fallen revealing her features her long black hair was braided what little of it could be seen at the neck line the rest was hidden from view. Golden eyes sought those of the other rider " Hold.. do not fire your arrow, these beasts be my companions if you wish to continue you must face me first. "

Taujiel.

They have arrived late in the night but had quickly set up camp. Being in the envoy of the king guaranteed the young half-human a good meal and a comfortable bed.
Word was quickly sent out to all camps on the island that the Northlands have arrived. "All that remains is a representative from Orcaez." Taujiel heard a soldier say. "I doubt that'll be possible, especially now that the dark elf rules Orcaez." another elf replied.
The moon was up, and her gaze was on the island. She was radiating brightly, perhaps happy to see the kingdoms gather again.
Taujiel who was staring at the reflected image of the moon in the well looked up to see a lady approaching the well. She wore dark brown leather gauntlets, sandals, a vest like leather clothing and a skirt that barely reaches her knee. She carried a quiver and a bow and she looked astoundingly beautiful.
Taujiel hadn't yet notice he'd wandered out of his camp. He fetched water from the well and offered the jug to her.
"Thirsty?"

"Thank you." She said softly as she took the jug from him, took a small sip and returned it. "I seem to be a little lost. I was trying to find a place to stay for the night but I don't know the area very well. If you could send me off in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I'm Belliea by the way."

"I'll be back." Tamaris said, walking out abruptly. Seeing Phallox was to much, and she swiftly walked outside. Tomorrow is the meeting, Tamaria thought to herself, trying to keep her mind from Phallox, she touched her black horns on her head in thought. She walked a distance from the camp, walking atop a large hill, and gazed at Aurelion. Thinking on how she would be able to do this quest with Phallox at only 5 feet away.

Taujiel

"Taujiel." he replied. Taujiel glanced around and shockingly discovered that he was not in his camp. "Talk about a blind leading a blind." he joked. "I think i'm lost too, i am from the Northlands and this is clearly not their camp."

Pallox thought for a few moments on Redbeard's question before shaking his head.

"It was the Queen who requested that, that it was something extra I was told to retrieve. Just part of my current job."

He watched Tamaria head out for a moment. There was something about her he couldn't quite put his finger on. Something very familiar. He brushed the thought aside for the time being, knowing he would figure it out soon.

Jarl Redbeard nodded. The half-dragon knew nothing about the coldcomb. Its better that way, such ancient relics should be kept as discreet as discreet. Do now worry Pallox. "I shall relay your message to the king. After the gathering you'll get a reply." he said then yawned. "If you'll excuse me, half-dragon. The hour has called and i must answer."

A hooded figure.

A hooded figure stood in the shadows of a nearby tent. His gaze was on the royal tent in the coldland's camp just feets from his position.
"Asdrajru Migniur Sleepra" the hooded figure chanted in a hushed voice.
The two guards infront of the tent slumped down into a blissful sleep. Moving quickly and using the shadows as cover, he steathily entered the tent.

The half-dragon nodded at the Jarl's reply.

"Of course. I shall take my leave then. When things are ready to get started, just send for me. I shall be around."

He stood up, giving a slight bow for a moment before moving out of the tent. He took a deep breathe for a moment as he looked at the camp, frowning for a moment. Deciding to find someplace a little less crowded, he made his way to the edge of the camp.

A hooded figure

Within minutes he was out, glancing around and finding no one in sight he hurried towards the edge of the camp. His gaze immediately fell on Pallox who stood resting near an orchard. His blue eyes scanned the half-dragon, and as suddenly as he had appeared, he disappeared into the shadows.

"So we are both lost, at least we aren't alone. Maybe we can retrace your steps back to your camp. Then could you help me find a place to stay for the night?" Belliea asked as she tried to determine which direction he had come from "Its a bit scary out here at night. I'm not really sure who to trust."

"What was that?" Tyr growled immediatly reaching for Firaga and taking a step toward the Jarl. It wasn't clear what was going on, not from the interior but hearing the guards outside slump from where they had been standing guard was something that should not have been missed by anybody, in fact the lack of reaction from the others was mildly upsetting. Then someone had entered and then suddenly vanished.

"Relax, obviously you and the Jarl are safe." Aisizu insisted in the back of his mind.

This time however the warrior was more in tuned with the sibling blade Firaga. Whatever they said between them passed quickly the blade understood what was requested of it and lit up as he stepped outside the tent to see what was happening, Redbeard would simply have to manage to not die for a few minutes.

"That's fine by me." Taujiel replied.
Together Taujiel tracked his way back to the Northland's camp. He led his new friend to his tent then hurriedly started picking up scattered scrolls off the floor.
"Sorry...i-i-i wasn't expecting um...visitors, guests." he stuttered, picking up a scroll and nearly stumbling in the process.

Pallox frowned for a moment as he felt what he thought was someone watching him. He turned around for a few moments, but stopped when he didn't noticed anything. He had noticed the sleeping guards outside the Jarl's tent, but it wasn't his business to worry about.

"Probably my imagination or such."

He continued to the orchard, pulling down some fruit before eating it.

Tamaria watched Phallox, she could see in his eyes he was struggling to reber her but couldn't. She frowned, this was definitely no longer a quest she was looking forward too, at all. She saw a glimpse of something but she couldn't see anything when she looked, she layed down on the grass of the hill.

"It's quite alright. I don't mind the mess, besides I really should go...unless I can stay here for the night." Belliea said as she helped him pick up a few scrolls "You must really like to read."

"Ofcourse, yes you can..um..stay f-f-for the night. I'll just use the field." he stuttered as this was the first time he'd ever gotten that close to a lady. "You must really like to read."
"I um a...a scholar in Elfheim, this scrolls are the only companions i have there." she handed the scrolls to him and he placed them neatly in a leather bag. He brought out a silk mattress and placed it on the soft bed then hurried to the door.
"I'll just um, you know. The field. Sleep. Goodnight." he stammered.

Having finished his little meal, Pallox sat down beneath one of the trees. He noticed Tamaria on the hill a distance away. He watched her for a few moments before closing his eyes. It wasn't the first time he had slept outside, nor would it be his last.

He soon fell asleep, his thoughts of looking forward to the next few days.

"There's enough room for both of us. It's not really fair to kick you out of your own bed... I really don't mind sharing. It's only one night, no big deal." Belliea said "Or I could just sleep on the floor of you want."
