I happen to prefer the MAC color palette for porn also.

So yes... I will only use the shell prompt even for writing as I use pico to write my first and second drafts.

But Porn is another consideration.

And of course getting a computer because Porn looks better on it... just makes me more geeky.

It's an acronym. Stands for Fucking Ridiculous Electronic Device.

You go, graham! I have a power mac named Tina (after one of the Metal Men ) and a ugh... pc named Napoleon cos he's constantly screwing me, but I need him to get online. Oh.... and a powerbook named Quinn... it doesn't do much, but I love working with it!

I've never given any inanimate object a name. I have lots of friends who name their cars, name their bikes, name their computers etc. etc. I have enough trouble deciding on names for my pets, who usually end up being called "Rabbit", "Hamster" and the like.

I put it down to my early childhood when my mother used to be removing the boogers from my nose and giving each one an interesting name so that I'd stand still until the job was done. I still remember some of them to this day. There was Peregrine Pig, Sally Sow, Horrible Harold and Vile Vivian.

After having boogers that had names I never felt the urge to name anything else again.
