I pray that each of you are ok after the wild night of weather that affected you.
My prayers are with all those affected.

As a lot of you know I live in the Enterprise Alabama area.I have gotten several PM's asking if I was ok and thought I would just answer here instead of trying to answer each one.I live about 15 miles from where the Tornado touched down and I am fine.I have family who lost there homes.Thankfully thats all they lost.We lost at least 15 at the school and several are still missing. Please keep them and their familys in your prayers.
Thank ya'll for the pms and letting me know you care.
Debra

This is the first chance I have had to get online since the storms.. I am so glad that you are ok and will be praying for those affected by the storms. Luckily much of the bad stuff passed us or went around us. We got some strong winds and bad rain but 20 miles away they weren't so lucky. Americus lost part of the hospital.the EMS service, damage to doctors offices and the firestation. 2 confirmed deaths. Over 80 homes were damaged or leveled entirely. We are all friends and neighbors here.. please check in so that we know that everyone is ok. :rose:

I've been around Lit for a while, but usually hang out in the General or AmPic boards. Seems the Georgia folks are a little reserved and quiet in the personals section. Maybe we can stir things up a bit....

To follow up on the tornado posts, I was coming through Dothan on my way back to Atlanta when the tornado hit Enterprise. Very scary. Living in the south all of my life, I have seen more than my share of those kind of storms, but you never get used to them.

Hello Ya'll

I hope each and everyone of my Ga friends made it through the storms unharmed.

I am sure you all have seen Enterprise by now,but here is a link to a local paper that has some videos and some slideshows that shows things the tv did not show. http://www.eprisenow.com/ on the right hand side you can click on slideshows or videos. There is even a song.

When I went to work in Enterprise I truly was unprepared for what I would see.It was a very tough night and the following days was even tougher. The amazing thing was not more was killed. The school was destroyed and only 8 died. That was a tregedy in itself. Also we had a elementry school also destroyed and not one of those was killed.around 200 homes was totally destroyed and hundreds more was badly damaged.Again its amazing that so many lived. We lost a elderly lady who actually made it through the storm, but bled to death before help arrived.

Several of my co workers lost there homes as did my cousin.I here the same story from them all. They feel blessed that they only lost things. They can be replaced lives cannot.
My friend and co worker lost her daughter. When I left that funeral home I called my children just to say I love you.It made me relize just how precious life is.

Please say a prayer for the family of Michelle Wilson and for all those who became angels that day not only in Bama, but Ga and a few other states.

How are you darlin? Haven't heard from you in a while. :)

I'm well, princess, figured you were on the road. Still hoping to lasso you for a lunch.

I am on the road no more except for an occasional trip every now and then. School starts April 3rd. So I will be tied up with that. Three classes this quarter. And they won't be easy. Next time I visit my brother in Atlanta, I'll let you know. HAve a great weekend! :rose:

thought id poke my head in and see what was going on here, been a while since i popped onto lit, school has calmed back down enough for me to have some downtime

The birds are happy this morning. I've never heard so much singing.

The outside birds anyway. I don't have a bird. Even though my cats would probably enjoy one.

i am, in fact, stuck at home while the new carpet gets installed. if i could leave i would but there is a rather large ammount of new and clean carpet in the driveway keeping me from fifty odd projects that im trying to get done, most of which require me to not be here.
