So this girl and I have only hung out a couple of times, but I can tell we have some attraction for each other. Only problem is we weren't really in the best position to exchange numbers and such.

should I ask my coworker, who is also her long time good friend, for her phone #?

Get your co-worker who is her friend to get her number for you and then you can call/text her, introduce yourself and say why you have their number - i.e. you couldn't contain your desire any longer. I did it with my girl and it's 2 and a half years later down the road and still strong!

Ask your coworker if they'd be willing to get permission from the woman to give you her number or email address. Just asking for her number might put your coworker in an uncomfortable position and cause tension between the coworker and the woman if your call isn't welcome.
