Get iTunes to stop deleting itself?!?

Hi--

I have looked on the internet for a proper forum to put this question in, but no luck.

If someone can recommend one I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyway, everytime I open up iTunes I find that more and more of my music is gone. I keep finding it in my recycle bin, and then just restore it, but then it just disappears again! Anybody know what's going on?

I am using a Toshiba Satellite A105 running Windows XP.

I have done multiple virus scans.

Have you tried googling things like 'itunes deleting songs' and reading stuff like this?

It appears to be a fairly common problem that's discussed in some of the Mac, iPod and Apple-related forums, so a solution shouldn't be too far away.

Sounds like your anti virus software is rejecting the programme as a virus I get the same when using limewire.Depending what anti virus you are using go into the settings and set I-Tunes as safe,hope this solves your probs.
