In the future a minor apocalypse happens transforming people/bringing being from other planes of existence. After the dust settles, the new people become a part of society…and that means they are a new voting bloc.

So stories about people going door to door, trying to get their votes or alternatively one of the new beings trying to get votes from people.

For example:

“Hello, I’m going door to door for Julian Delmar, Is this the- “*R3$&$X^” residence? *sees a dozen women in the throes of passion with a tentacle monster*

Tentacle: yes, this is she.

Alternatively:

“My name is Helen Fenrir, I’m running for city council. Maybe you’ve seen my ads on TV?”

The woman at the door looked confused, “oh…yes, me and partner were just talking about you…but you look a bit different.”

“Oh yes, that was filmed during a full moon. I am a werewolf but I want to fight for everyone in my community. Could I come in and talk to you and your partner?”

“I mean…yes, but if you came back tonight….during the full moon I could probably have a lot of very interested constituents over…If you catch my drift.”

“Anything for my constituents!”

That could be fun. Check out the TTRPG Rifts by Palladium Games for a setting just like this.

Or any episode of Rick and Morty. 😁

lol, I keep hearing about rifts but I’ve only met a couple of people who play it

One idea I had originally with this premise was a politician or someone on their team going to a trailer park that was full of succubii.

With one trailer having a guy with crosses and all sorts of anti-demon merch…but his wife was also a succubus (based on that “the most racist guy in the world and his (x) wife, meme)

It's basically several hundred years after a nuclear holocaust. All the death released a massive wave of life energy (magic) which shredded the veil of space and time. This allowed all sort of wild extra-dimensional beings into our world. It's a game where you can play nearly anything your heart desires if the GM will allow it. It's worth trying if you can find a game and a decent GM. It was really popular twenty-five years ago, but the owner of the company refused to let his merch branch out past TTRPGs into electronic mediums and pretty much sunk the company. Books show up on Ebay for $10 or less.

...so, essentially, Ugly Americans.

I don't mind. I can imagine the sex workers forming their own ministry lead by incubi and succubi.
