If you're a woman aged 50 and over....I would be interested in chatting casually. I'm 58 and very attracted to older women.

Damn I remember posting this. Bummed out it never netted any result.

I have to admit, there’s something oddly endearing about someone returning to a post almost a decade later and saying, “Well… that didn’t work.”

I can also see why it may not have.

Posts that indicate desperation aren’t high on most peoples list for starters, so I wouldn’t start with “Desperately seeking”. Unless you are trying to give off an ax murderer type of vibe.

“Let’s chat and see if we’re interested in more,” doesn’t tell anyone who you are. An actual GILF who might be looking doesn’t know your age, whether you’re funny, kind, educated, retired, employed, married, single, looking for friendship, romance, or just conversation. There’s nothing for her to connect with.

It’s a little like putting a blank business card on a bulletin board and wondering what no one called.

If you really are interested in an older woman, tell her why. What do you enjoy talking about? Give people something to respond to besides geography and desperation.

And one other thing. If you’re still interested after all these years, that says it wasn’t just a passing whim. There’s nothing wrong with that. I’d simply rewrite the post to sound like you’re inviting a conversation with a real person rather than casting a very large net into the Atlantic. I assume this was an attempt at a *BUMP*?

Sometimes the difference between “no replies” and “a great conversation” isn’t luck. It’s giving people a reason to think, “I’d enjoy talking with him.” Spend some time actually crafting a personal ad as opposed to a quick post.

It's great advice as I agree in reflecting on it that I'm sure at the time, I was very desperate in the moment, rather than patient and allowing something natural to develop.

I didn't start out trying to 'bump'. I think I was simply surprised to find this post from myself after not having been active here for a long time.
🙂
As for rustyredhead, I read her post and truly appreciated her point, so I edited my original post. Now maybe that wasn't the best decision or, maybe it doesn't really matter.
I'm not into tearing others down, and I appreciate constructive feedback.
I'm here to try and explore and navigate my kink. Isn't it difficult enough to do that, honestly, without negative criticism?

I actually do hope it helps although there are certainly a lot of barriers to making connections of this kind. I know if you examine my posting history you’ll see that even when I make a critical analysis I’m doing from the teacher in me. I’ll accept a DM from you if you feel like talking.
