I'm sure she'll be happy to hear that. I do the same when I'm writing something new, try to read a few books by authors I respect to get a feel for it. If I wrote m/m, I would jump on Jaimme's books because she's got the kind of style I like.

But since my next big novel's going to be BDSM menage, the stuff I'm reading now is far from western--although I wouldn't mind reading about a cowboy dom

Greetings GLBT Authors (and fans),

I'm resurrecting this older thread to see if there are enough writers and readers of LGBTQ stories to make it worthwhile as; 1) A place for writers to connect, find beta-readers, and discuss general story/writing issues specific to the LGBTQ category. The reason I thought this might be helpful is due to the fact than non-LGBTQ authors/readers cannot always provide the best advice on the actual content of our stories, despite the best of intentions/desire, since it's just hard for them to relate, etc. And, 2) It could also be a place for readers/fans of LGBTQ stories to make suggestions and/or requests of things they'd like some author to take on.

I'm not sure there are enough author's who hang out here to make this worthwhile, but if there is the thread should get enough action to survive...if there's not, it can slide back into the history files.
