I am a transsexual female who also happens to be a lesbian.

also would like remind folks here that sexual orientation and gender identity is NOT the same thing, so it was a bit odd seeing sexual identity a long with gender identities in the poll.
Hence my comment early on about "Hey glam, by using radio buttons you didn't allow transgendered people to state what orientation they are!" Checkboxes would have fixed the voting problem, although not the mixing of orientation and identity. I'm pretty familiar with gender identity issues, but by no means an authority, so it's nice to have another person around here who can speak with some authority. I'm curious, mellian, did you identify as heterosexual before transitioning? I've known of transpeople who have switched orientations as well, which is really strange. An FTM friend of mine identified as a dyke before transitioning, and was interested in women, but after his transition he identifies as gay and is interested in men.

well, i did identity as a heterosexual before i came out as trans...but mainly out of fear and avoid the nonsense of fellow students calling me gay and etc. after i came out, i identified as a lesbian.

so overall, what gender i prefered sexually wise hasn't really changed.

Hello Christa..I see your point. For me..boys are fun to play with..women are where I put my love..Since I have been known to have sex with both sexes, that leads me to think mostly lesbian but not completely..hence the *bi* label...
