it depends which side is the upper or front side though
the nazi symbol has the 'arms' bending into the clockwise direction (to the right at the upper 'arm')
the buddhist symbol has the 'arms' bending into the other direction
at least as far as i know and remember

You are correct.

The sauwastika arms bend left and sometimes are shown with shortened arms.

The swastika which was adopted by the Nazi party, have the arms bending right and are never shown with decreased arm length but is sometimes rotated 45 degrees.
