I loved watching Hells Kitchen but wouldn't want Gordon Ramsey running the country.

People are discussing politics more- great- but you are hearing more and more controversial and counter-productive opinions, and people are basing these opinions on outright debunked falsehoods, and often their own predjudices. Just read some of the threads on here, for example.

I want the USA to be a better place too, and maybe it will be ultimately a better place. But right now it is in a very dark place. If by "Better place" you mean a highly militarized, racially purified, anti-libertarian corporatist police state, well, some people on this board obviously want that, (case in point, the poster above me) but that does not mean most Americans do.
