Natasha Livingston was a very wealthy and powerful woman. She spent a good 15 years if not more working her way up the food chain while at the same time creating her own business. In the end, at the age of 30 she finally had everything she possibly could want. She was the CEO of 6 degrees, one of the hottest social websites. She was wealthy beyond imagination, intelligent in both the corporate world as well as the working one. She wasn’t afraid to go down to the front lines of her business and literally work up a few pages herself.
Natasha loved her life, loved the independence she had worked so hard to gain. She was single, but that didn’t matter to her. She could easily grab a date should she want company. But most of the time she was happy just doing what she loved.
She even explored other avenues as pastimes, like how to shoot a gun, but not only that; really shoot a gun. Most people that wished to know how just wanted to know how to shoot one simple handgun. Not Natasha. She wanted to try out every weapon she could possibly find. She didn’t stop there once she mastered every possible gun, she began to learn everything there was to know about knives, throwing stars, a staff; heck just about anything you could use as a weapon she got special training for. It paid to be wealthy.
Natasha also spent days upon days training with her personal trainer. He taught her things like hand to hand combat using techniques like Krav Maga, Wing Chun to even Ninjutsu, where she was able to use her agility to her advantage. She was highly skilled to take care of herself as well as others.
All of this gave her a very athletic build, strong legs and a flat tummy. Match that with her 5’4” height, dark brown hair, almost auburn, that reached the middle of her back and baby blue eyes, spelled disaster for anyone that tried to mess with her. Her personal trainer had tried a few times to grab her attention, but she refused to go out with anyone she had business dealings with.
Natasha found herself in another long meeting about ways to outwit their top competitor, Grapevine. She knew the CEO of Grapevine all too well, Mr. Franklin Porter. Many times running into him at conferences and other various functions. He was handsome, even sexy in a way, but a cocky ass and she always brushed him off as another wannabe in her bed. She never cared to get to know him because to her there was no reason for him wanting to go out except in hopes of wooing her into her secrets. He certainly picked the wrong woman if he thought she would just roll over for him.
By the end of the meeting she was more than ready to head home. Grabbing up the last minute paperwork she would work on over a glass a wine at home, she closed up her briefcase and headed to the elevators. She usually was the first in the office and the last to go home, except for the tech support guys who were on the night shift.
The elevator doors opened and she stepped in, pressing the button for the garage level that was under the building. It was rather in genius of her to demand they make her garage under the building, which in turn put it under ground. Sure it stayed cool year round but it saved on space as well as the money it would cost to park in the counties parking garages down the street.
Natasha stepped from the elevator and headed for her car. Not once in her whole entire working career had she ever had to deal with someone trying to mug her in the garage, but today would be different. Before it even registered in her mind that he was there, a needle stuck into her neck. She cursed herself as the darkness swept over her vision and her body went limp.
