Is it possible to have a midget that is taller than a normal person who is just real short?!

If I remember right, if they're short, but completely porportionate they're dwarves. (I think?) Midgets are normally very stocky, and have really short arms and legs.

I guess that means that shyslave is actually about half an inch from being a dwarf.

You guys have got it backwards. Exceedingly short but properly proportioned people are midgets --- Billy Barty. Dwarves are shorter than midgets and oddly proportioned -- Vern Troyer and Warwick Davis (who has truly beautiful hands).

Understanding the difference between dwarfs and midgets

Achondroplasia is characterized by short overall stature, proportionally shorter upper arms and thighs and a short trunk. The achondroplasia gene was identified in 1994, but a lack of funding has limited additional research.

The word "midget" is a medical term referring to short statured people with proportionate limbs and trunks. The condition is caused by a hormonal deficiency and may be treated medically.
"Midget" is not synonymous with "dwarf." The word "midget" is considered derogatory by many dwarfs, who say they prefer to be identified as dwarfs, little people, persons of short stature or most preferably, by their given names.
