Ok this is so far what has been happeing ..First let me tell you that The doctors in this city are villagae idiots!!

Ok The doctor says I'm 6weeks along...I disagree...

Also for the women some of the men will understand this too
my hormone level was 127...IF I'm 4weeks that would be fine if I'm 6weeks that means I'm going to miscarrie??

So I gave blood to the vampires....Also I have to go there monday just so I can do another Blood hormone count...

Good news is that I will not have to take Iron...I produce enough......

So any of the women out there have any advice I need it !!!

THE WIFE

Insist on an ultra sound. That will tell you exactly how far along you are.

Get used to the blood work. Also, don't forget to take your little jars to every appointment. You know the ones. It's easy while you are still slim. It's going to be a bear when you start getting big.

The best advice I can give you is to relax, be good to yourself and the widget and be happy.

NSW! did you come up with 4 wks from the date of conception!? Most doctors use the LMP method (last menstrual period) which would make you 6 weeks!

6 weeks pregnant meaning you concieved 4 weeks ago? Or 8 weeks and you concieved 6 weeks ago?

Fuckin A Creamy Lady she never WAS slim!! That's so damn funny!!!

If you miscarry will you admit some people aren't meant to breed?

DON'T ask for an ultrasound yet!!!! It is too early to be very useful and will potentially cause more confusion! If you are indeed 6 weeks an ultrasound can confirm that, but if you are only 4 or 5 weeks...it may look like you are not pregnant at ALL. (For those who don't know, I have RDMS after my professional signature).
Quantitavie Beta HCG (blood test) is the best method of tracking a very early pregnancy. And I agree 127 is more like 4 weeks than 6. But ultrasound will only detect a gestational sac (without cardiac activity) at a Beta HCG level of about 1000. Some more sensitive machines and really good techs can see that sac sooner...but without a fetal pole/and cardiac activty you still don't know if the pregnancy is viable. They will still want the Beta HCG's run.
127 does NOT mean you will miscarry...The general rule of thumb is that the Beta HCG will double every 48 hours. That is the reason for serial testing. Don't read too much into it. The comment about LMP (last menstrual period) and conception dates is accurate. The fisrt day of your LMP is something we can clear demostrate. Ovulation occurs BETWEEN day 7 and day 21! (average being day 14). So you can see, it could easily be earlier than your LMP would indicate.
Don't sweat it...it's too early to paint the babies room anyway. Hold out for an ultrasound when they can tell you the sex of your new bambina/bambino!!! And find a place where they do video for the parents!!!

Congrats NSW.....best wishes to you and hubby and for the smartass who is so tactless, go crawl in your hole and hide your head, that was cruel and stupid. I think I may have hit on the key word there, stupid.

even by my piss poor standards that sucks.

Whoa! WOOHOO... you fucking asshole! How could you possibly say something so mean? Do you realize that you just insulted a woman who is in GREAT distress because she might lose the life that is growing inside of her? You're obviously a man, you fucking piece of shit. No wonder you hide, you're nothing but a bottom dweller, a sanctophant, you ASSHOLE. If I ever find you, I'm going to rip your esophagus out with a dirty knife and shove it up your ass after I fuck it with a poking iron! You arrogant unworthy snotsucking, shit spewing idiot!

No that that's out of the way.... NSW, Don't worry too much about how far along you are, it's very hard to tell when you're still in your first trimester. I was told that I was 6 weeks along when I miscarried, but I know it was longer. I think they just tell you that because it's sort of a marker as to how far along you are until they can really tell. As for the hormones in your system, did they tell you that there might be something that's causing it? Or if there's anything you can do? I'm so sorry to hear that they said such a thing to you. I suppose they might just trying to be bracing you for the worst. You know where to find me if you want to talk, love.

Yeah..mainly you, asshole, and nothing has to happen for all of us to agree to that.

NSW the best advice is dont get stressed about it. I know that is not easy but the more stress, the more you put that baby in a bad position and I know you dont want to do that. And dont let the jerk offs like WOOHOO get to you. Thats just more stress that you dont need.

NSW....((((((HUGS))))) I keep well wishes for you and yours in my thots.

1. Just be paitient and let the Doc figure everything out.
2. Don't fret yourself over a m/c.
3. The stress is not good for bloodpressure.
4. Ignore the assholes. You know the ones.

Thats all I have today! Mail me if you wish, the link is below.

Your parents weren't meant too that is easy to see but mistakes happen, proof positive, you are here posting.

Congrat NS and NSW!!!

NSW don't stress. Last October (Oddly, it was Friday October 13th...) I took a pregnancy test at work and there was a line, although it was faint. I took the second in the morning and it was a normal line. I made an appointment for the following wednesday, but monday I woke up bleeding. At the emergency room my HCG count was less than 50. If I based it on my last period I should have been 6 weeks pregnant. The next day it was less than 10. Don't sweat it, counting from your last period isn't always accurate. My cousin was estimated at 8 weeks pregnant by her doctor, but in fact she was only 3, because that was the only day they'd had sex in 5 months. (He was in the army) Just relax and wait.

And trollykins, don't disrespect a life that hasn't even gotten a chance to live yet. It didn't do anything to you.

*Jaw dropping.*

*Shaking the shock off.*

*Lifting a single brain cell, half rotted at that.*

Troll... I think you dropped this... Want it back?
For what little good it would do you?

A Note About Doctors...

NSW,

Couple of words of advice derived from experience:

Relax! Fret and stress at this point is not going to do anything but drive you crazy. Having been around doctors my whole life, I was never so amazed at exactly inexact the science of is as when my wife got pregnant.

For starters, they determined she was pregnant at about 6 weeks. At that time, the infamous hormone levels in her tests were fine, and the doctor ruled out the chances of multiples (not that we were expecting them; we hadn't been on any fertility treatments or anything, but where I live the test is standard procedure).

At 13 weeks we went in to hear the baby's heartbeat. That went swimmingly, but the doctor was concerned about my wife's size. He sent us for an ultrasound to make sure there were no fibroids or anything, and low and behold what did he find but Thing 2; so much for absolutely no chance of multiples.

Throughout the pregnancy, they continued to to track Thing 1 and Thing 2, and at 34 weeks determined that Thing 1 weighed 3 lbs. and Thing 2 just under 4 lbs.. Two days later, they were born at 4 1/2 lbs. each. They are now two and the size of a 4 year old, something else we were told not to expect because they are identical twins.

There were other instances that help illustrate that, although they try their best, in many instances its still just an educated guess. It is important for you to stay informed, but be careful; all the levels, metrics, etc. are really just guidelines. Individual results may vary!

No joke! With both of my daughters, the doctor kept pushing back my due date because they were very small. (Because we all know the taller you are, the older you are  )I realise there are "norms" when dealing with fetal growth, but had the last doctor been correct, the pregnancy would have lasted eleven and a half months.

It turns out it was a good thing both were small. Both were induced due to, well, lack of room, and both were five weeks early. They both weighed five and a half pounds and were perfectly healthy.

Relax, no amount of worry will fix anything.

Thank you all

If I would exactly see the physian instead of the asst. I would feel alot better ....But that is not going to happen so I find out monday what my blood is and I take another blood test monday again ...As well as urine ..For some reason could some one tell me what the urine is for??

like I pee enought lol but any how you all have a good weekedend and I will report ....on monday

THE WIFE

Oh get used to it :D I spent an entire week peeing in cups and getting my arms bruised, between checking hormone levels and rh factor tests. You have 8 months to look forward to. Have fun!

Congatulations!!!! Can't offer yo any advice on the pregnancy myself, but I wish you and Noby Special the best.

I think the urine samples are to check sugar. I think Thereby, do not flame me if I am wrong. Im no doctor, just the mother of a rowdy 2 1/2 yr old girl.

And as for the blood testing. Lets put it this way. I used to have this phobia, for lack of better word, about needles. Now, I just put out the arm and tell them exactly where to stick the needle. I could probably draw my own blood if they would let me.

God, just wait till you get the diabetes test. That drink makes the baby so hyper!!!!
