Gotham City : OOC

Azrael

he used to be pretty much an insane religeous vigilante killer, but after he replaced batman when Bruce had his back broken and then bruce returned and kicked the shit out of him he went under batmans wing and now works as part of his team.

Okay, jump in when you'd like.

Thank you Isolde *hugs you tight!* and Kepic. I'll jump in after Kepic's next post. I'd rather he set the scene where Harley is sure to be receiving the brunt of his latest frustrations!

*pokes Isolde's 'Cat Woman' and grins*

*grins* Hey, never trust a theif! I am sure he will find a way to get CatWoman back though..should be interesting.

Okay Celestiale, there's an opening for your entrance as Harley now in the thread. I also left one on my last post as the Joker for you at the Bada Bing club, if you'd like to follow through with that still.

Oh, is the Joker peeved at Catwoman... grrrrr... :)

Hey Kepic! I just found that I had an email from you!!! I wasn't trying to aviod you, I swear!!! I need to check that mail more often lol! Sorry about that. *sheepish grin*

Thats okay, Celestiale, no prob!

Lava, saw your request for a Creeper pic... so here ya go...

For those of you unfamiliar with this character (I remember him from the threads here, but only recently discovered he was a real batman character) here is his background:

Once he was simply Jack Ryder, the no-nonsense co-anchor of Summer Gleeson's "Gotham Insider." But the staid newsman's life was changed forever after an encounter with the Joker and his lethal laughing toxin. When Jack did an expose on the history of the "Clown Prince of Crime", The Joker showed up and threw Ryder into the same vat of chemicals that transformed him. The vat of chemicals, mixed with the Joker's laughing gas, mutated him into a bizarre super-human creature, the living embodiment of the wild personality he had kept buried inside him for so long. Dubbed The Creeper by a terrified onlooker, the insane creature went on a wacky rampage which resulted in him actually helping Batman to capture the Joker.
Though the wild imbalance of chemicals had caused a permanent change in Ryder's body, Batman devised a specially treated skin patch that, when worn, keeps the Creeper subdued. But when there's extreme danger, Ryder can remove the patch and let the zany, always unpredictable Creeper out to join the fight.

For the current 'crisis' that the heroes (and catwoman) are facing, this might be helpful - Nightwing has a radio-link to Oracle (Barbara Gordon, ex-Batgirl) who is an absolute expert on computers.

Well.......I kind of made a change. lol
I am sure Nightwing and Batman are linked also. If not, I can go back and edit my post.

Nightwing could go back later and sneak in to alter the computer programing.... Just a thought.

Oracle?

Looks like Batman is in a jam! If there are no objections, I would be happy to step in as Oracle, and give Bats the information he needs to defuse Two-Face's evil scheme. I don't really have time to add another thread role, but Oracle works best in a supporting role, anyway. Anytime anyone needs to know some DCUniverse info, just ask the question in-character to Oracle, who is in contact with all of the Batman-related characters, as well as the entire JLA. I can probably answer it off the top of my head, but I will research, if need be.
I'm going ahead and post as Oracle now, and, if there objections, I'll edit/delete the post.

If Catwoman can get Ivy to show up, the computer will be taken care of. And Batman and NightWing are going to TwoFace's 'party'. This is just another case of 'at the last minute' rescues...dont you love it!? Come on Ivy-the cat has insulted you...come play!

Apology from Oracle

Last night, I posted what I thought was an answer to what seemed to be a difficult problem in the Gotham City thread, as a message from Oracle. Unfortunately, this un-sanctioned post introduced a plot twist which damaged some of the plans of the rightful posters.

I would like to apologize to Poohlive, and all the other members of the Gotham City thread, for my well-intentioned, but unnecessary, unwanted, and arrogant presumption that you all could not work through that plotline without help from a newbie poster like me.

I would also like to thank Poohlive, who had every right to flame me but good for my actions, for the civilized way in which he pointed out my error, and kindly asked me to not do it again.

Let this be (yet another!) lesson to other new members of the various role-playing threads: NEVERNEVERNEVER!!! jump into a thread with a major plot twist before checking with the moderator, and waiting for a response.

It wasn't that bad Neale, I think with a few twists and turns from internal Two-face monologues, which should really be dialogues... (rimshot)
Anybody?
Damnit.
Well, anyhow, it wasn't a bad plot twist, but it sort of came at the wrong time. I think Oracle would be a great advantage though, especially now that the computer needs help in dealing with.
I don't know why you guys are thinking so much about this little plot point, just put a virus into it or something, it's a freakin computer.

well, I thought I had a creative solution but Ivy isnt playing so Catwoman will come up with something...just wait and see.

When the man is right, he's right. :D

I got it! I got it! hehehehe...a colorful solution and one that worked! I posted and I hope you guys like it!

Ba-dump-dump.

Sure, if anyone wants to, in character, post a question to Oracle, I will answer in character. As mentioned above, she (and I) have tremendous research capabilities, and are in easy contact with most every good guy. (Except Creeper. Think he must have used his comm device as a Walkman, or something.)

Well I have some good news, and some bad news.

The Good news, I have a job now.
The bad news, I won't be posting as much as usual. I want the thread to continue, I think it can still work. Good luck, and comtinue to have fun.

I am not leaving, just posting more iradicaly.(sp?)

hey i am new to this and have been reading through some of the storys and i found yours to be really intresting keep up the good work

On the first page there is a url for a site on Batman...go and see it. Kepic, what do you say to our friend joining us? It is your thread.

Sure, though at the moment there is quite a bit of action going on, between all the current characters involved. If you could wait a little while M.H. (as Harley would call probably call him), til after a few of the current villains are locked away in Arkham again, then you could stage your first criminal caper on the thread. Mind control hats... hmm, could be interesting.
