Gotham City

Ivy...

"some men would say my charm would be enough." I purred.

I sat up grinning. "I could strike up a deal, When have you known me...wait, not a good example. When have you known my efforts to be fruitless? Let's not mention that lil incident with Gotham city. Intelligent minds think alike, regardless of whose side we are on, I'm not on anyone's side." I got up, smoothing the fabric to my hips.
"this green thumb has an idea. I want to get rid of the baddies just as much as you do. Especially the nuisances. The only way to do that is to get them all out into the open and in plain view. Then all I have to do is let my precious life work do the rest. As for you. I'll let you in on a little secret. This is my last and final attempt. A gal has to get some beauty sleep, and some recognition. This is either going to fame me or kill me." I leaned forward, my arms on the sides of his chair, my toes lightly rubbing against his leg. "you, have to help me get them out to the middle of the city, that is where batty comes in. He is the bait...You will have to hold me on trust here. I haven't killed you yet...so that has to count for something." I trailed my fingers over his lips. "Please tell me you trust me."

Catwoman

I smiled at the three henchmen in front of me even if they couldnt see it. "Isn't it past your bedtime, Boys?,"I said as I grabbed one by the feet with my whip and pulled them out from under him causing his head to hit the ground-hard.

A foot shot out to catch another in the mid section and he went down clutching his stomache. The third man took a swing at me which I barely escaped by rolling/summersaulting out of the way. "Uh uh, Deary, not tonight," I said as my whip recoiled from the first man's legs and wrapped around his. In a moment, he was beside his comrades and I was looking for Joker. I had a bone to pick with him.

(might as well play along, my brilliant plan turned to dust)
Two-Face laughed heartily. It couldn't have worked more brilliantly.
"YOU FOOL," he said, trying to loosen the ropes. They were on tight, damn Batman, "At this very moment the super computer is going to ask for another password. Your secret will be out to everyone."
He cackled as the rest of the party goers left the building. It was better than one of Joker's jokes, not that they were funny in the first place.
"I suggest you untie me right now. Let's just end this foolishness. You've already upset my party Batman, I don't want you to upset my night."
He watched the man stand there, "I said untie me. And take your mask off too. You are my goon now Batman, and don't you forget it!!!"

The Creeper

Ivys last words echoed through my mind while her smooth finger trailed over my lips. Trust was a pretty hard thing to come by around these parts nowadays. Especialy when it came down to trusting another villian trying to reform. Bats and NightWing had fallen into that same trap many times before with the Catwoman.

And she was right about one thing. She could has easily killed me by now if she realy wanted to. Oh but what a fine way to die. I could sure as hell think of worse ways for me to go out. Speaking of which, she said this plan would either make her famous or kill her. So if I did help her out, it would probably give her a better chance at survival. And that is what we spandex wearing types are best known for!

Speaking of which, she did have a nice butt tucked in that green suit. Dammit, Creeper! Stop thinking with the wrong head. Ok, now where was I? Oh yeah, was just about to give her my answer "Well P.I, I have given your plan a great amount of consideration. And I have decided, to help you out with this plan. 'Why?' you ask? Because it seems like it just might work. That, and it's also because I need to go to the bathroom soon and you're blocking my way."

Giving her another silly grin, I quickly try to kiss her once more only to be stoped again. You can't blame a guy for trying...

The Joker

I pulled the door open, and was quickly out into the night air, out of the dying party. Moe and the boys didn't seem to be following, not that I waited to long for them, so I made my way to the van parked up on the kerb nearby. Jumping into the driving seat, I started the engine, glancing out of the window back at the door, which had just swung closed, and put my foot down, throwing a little surprise gift-box down for the first person who came out after me.

"Well, it looked like Two-faces party needed a little extra oomph" I laughed, glancing at the box in the rear view mirror as I sped off, "how could I as an old friend not help him finish with a bang?"

A very big bang.

Catwoman

I had run out of the door and spotted Joker beating a hasty retreat. Not wanting him to get away, I took to my heels and followed him. I was so intent that I didnt realize until too late that I had stumbled onto one of his trick boxes.

My eyes went wide as I hastily did two back flips to get away from the booby trap. It was enough to get me out of the direct path of the box but I was still caught in the blast and the force drove me into the dumpster by the warehouse.

I cried out as I felt a sharp pain in my left shoulder and elbow and boxes that had been stacked on top of the dumpster piled down on top of me.

I growled in anger. The way I was going I was using up all my nine lives just on the Joker. I tried to stand only to fall back, the pain in my arm and now in my head making me sit back down hard. Oh great, just what I needed. This night was not going good at all.

Ivy

My eyes lit up. "I COULD JUST KISS YOU TO DEATH........wait, bad analogy...." I smiled. "you don't understand how brilliant this is. You won't regret it." Bathroom? Odd gentleman. His swipe for a kiss almost caught me off guard. "Uh uh uh" I said shaking my head.

"maybe if your realllllll good to me. I'll let you sneak one.......under special circumstances. " Special indeed. But that would have to wait. "Bathroom is down the corridor." I pointed. "Don't get lost, Or I may have to come and find you." I swiftly turned, putting a little swing of my hips, I heard him get up. I quickly whipped around. I grabbed his shoulders. "and green, Baby......Do not let me down. You will regret it. Forever."

The Creeper

Grinning widely at her, I say in a high pitched voice "Hey! Do I look like the kind of person that wouldn't take things seriously? Uh... don't answer that!"

With that, I ran off to the bathroom to quickly get what was needed done. Just hope I wouldn't have to wipe myself up with leaves or anything like that.

<few minutes later>

After finishing my business, I return to the lovely Poison Ivys presence.

"If I were you, I wouldn't go back in there for about 35 to 45 minutes. And you might want to open up a window around here soon." I tell Ivy with that same goofy smile as I run over to her.

"So, let's get this over with then baby! Then we can get to the real fun." I continued as she lead the way.

This was a real risk that I was taking by doing any of this with someone like her. Bats would surely take it out on my ass if this didn't work out or if she was just using me. Well, it was soon going to be time for the moment of truth. Just hope I wasn't thinking with the wrong head again.

Batman

I laugh as Twoface keeps ranting about me being his goon. "Do you actually believe I would take my mask off for you?" I ask. "Let the computer send it's little message out. There is no way anyone will believe Alfred Pennyworth and I are one and the same, especially after the commercial spot he did. You know Twoface, you will become the laughing stock of Gotham, everyone will make fun of you after this." I tell him as I drag him to the center of the room. "Nightwing. let's get out of here." I say as the sounds of police sirens get louder.

Hearing the loud explosion, I grab my cape and cover my face as the blast sends dust, dirt, parts of the street, and building chunks towards me. Looking around outside, I see Catwoman hurt sitting against the dumpster. I rush over to her, "How bad are you hurt?" I ask.

Catwoman

I look up at Batman and slowly stand. I move my arm and wince a bit-bruised but workable. I would really feel it in the morning though.

I shake my head,"Madder than a wet cat but otherwise okay." Then I hear the sirens. "Thats my cue to go, Handsome," I purr as I take out my whip and snag the nearest beam to the roof. "And dont worry about the computer. Let's just say it lost an argument."

Quickly climbing to the roof, I look down and add,"Dont forget. We have to see a man about a tiger. See you tomorrow night." And then I was blending into the shadows and on my way home.

Batman

"Tomorrow night then." I repeat to her. Before I can ask her if she needs and medical assistance, she is gone to the roof line and disappeared. "It is for the best Bruce," I think to myself, "Cats and Bats could never get along." I hop in the batmobile, and head home to the batcave.

After I shower, Alfred has breakfast ready so I eat before heading to bed. After I wake up, I head down below, and work on the computer. Sure enough no e-mail from Twoface, or anyone else for that matter, claiming Alfred is Batman. "I owe you one Catwoman." I say out loud, before preparing for the activities this evening.

I am standing outside, on Salena's balcony as Catwoman emerges from the apartment.

Catwoman

I emerge onto my balcony to see Batman waiting for me. "Well, there is a rare sight," I said as I smiled up at him,"A man who is on time for a date. Oh, I forgot, your not the dating kind. Too bad, a girl could get used to you. Once you get past the fact that you are totally against a little profit making your not a bad guy at all."

I had gone and checked my hiding place for the Tiger Eye earlier on that day. It was still secure and she was hoping it would stay that way. The only problem with having Batman help her was the fact that she had the real jewel could come up. Hopefully, though, they could go in, get the tiger and get out and if Joker tried to spill the beans she could take him out first. That would be something to look forward to.

Looking up at the Dark Knight, Catwoman wondered if he guessed the situation or if he didnt yet know. Well, no sense in wondering. Time to go to the rescue.

"So," She said to him,"Any idea where Joker might be right now?"

Batman

"I don't know right now, he could be anywhere. I thought of trying the old Amusement park across town. It seems unlikely, but it has the proper facilities to hold your kitty." I tell her. "Joker likes to keep from repeating himself, but if he isn't there, it will take a lot of research and/ or luck to find him." I say as I lead us to the batmobile.

Catwoman

I nodded as I slipped into the car. "I know..I know..dont touch anything,"I said before settling down. "You might want to turn on a radio or tv in this fancy car of yours," I added as I buckled myself in. (Hey I'm a thief I'm not stupid). "Joker had a wonderful show the other night that I am sure you saw. He said he would be in contact with me and I assume it will be soon."

I sat back and tried to calm myself as the hood closed over me. Man, I hated enclosed places. And watched as Batman steered the car expertly through the streets.

The Joker

I paced back in forth in front of the cage which held the siberian tiger, which seemed to be almost continually growling.

Finally, the television set crackled, its scheduled program being interrupted by my broadcast.

"Good evening, my loyal public. This is an announcement from your favourite criminal comic, the Joker! Recently, I was subject to a terrible trick" I said, brushing imaginary tears from my eyes and sniffing, "a close friend... an old cellmate of mine from Arkham... pulled a fast one on yours truely."

There was a long 'awwwww' from the 'audience', which I silenced with a wave of my hands.

"Thank you, thank you, I know, it's heartbreaking isn't it. But, I'm a forgiving person" I said, holding up the fake Tiger's Eye to the camera, then laughed loudly. "Not! I'm looking for a jewel, which, not-so-funnily enough, looks just like this one... except its worth a lot more than this here hunk of coloured glass, which I received in such good faith."

The camera panned down to a white tigerskin rug which I was standing on. "Anyway, here you can see a rare white siberian tiger-skin rug. If you'd like to bid for this wonderful piece of living room furnishing, sure to make you the envy of all your neighbours, make your bid at the charity auction tonight, where a number of items are being sold for a good cause, the Gotham Children's Fund." I said, pausing for effect, jumping up and down on the rug a couple of times.

"Well, actually, this is a fake. But unless I get the real deal this time, the next rug I stand on won't be. And now, back to your scheduled program..."

Catwoman

Talk about the cat being out of the bag. Joker was one step ahead of me-again. There was no way Batman couldnt know what that was all about and there was no way I was going to get the tiger without the jewel.

I looked at Batman and opened my mouth to say something but closed it again when I saw his face. I had seen that look before-just before I got myself put back into Arkham.

I sighed. "Ok, ok...turn left up here and we'll go get the jewel and then head over to get the tiger. Honestly, you cant blame a girl for trying."

Batman

Turning left, I follow Catwoman's directions to the jewel. I call Alfred on the radio link, and tell him to keep trying to reach Nightwing, and tell him where we are headed.

After she retrieves it, we head to the charity auction, and sneak in with no problems. I check the room for traps, while keeping an eye on Catwoman as she goes to meet with the Joker.

Catwoman

I walked down the middle of the chairs that had been set up for the auction. Before I reached the Auctioneer's podium, I stopped and looked around. There was no telling what could happen with the Joker in the mix. I had already been hit with one of his crazy jokes.

I rubbed my arm as I remembered the blast from his little package and called out,"Okay, Clown. I'm here. Come on out so we can trade."

The Joker

Standing up from behind the podium with a laugh, I held up a large green canister.

"Ladies and gentlemen, what are your bids for this economy-sized Smilex container?" I grinned, "guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and everyone elses in a two block radius."

I shook it, and laughed again.

"Where's the Tiger's Eye, Selina? Your feline friend is nice and comfortable in his cage, somewhere nearby. I get the jewel, you get the address, and can go let the cat out."

Catwoman

I reach into the pouch at my side and slowly take out the jewel. "Here is is, Joker," I said,"It's the real thing this time. But what kind of guarantee do I have that you wont double cross me this time. I almost didnt make it last time."

I slowly twirled the jewel so that the light bounced off of it and caught his eye. "Well?," I said.

Ivy

One of my men came through the door. "Excuse me Ivy, but turn on the t.v. you'll like it. " He left the room.

I sauntered over to the t.v set, I brushed off some of the vines. There on t.v was the one and only joker. And there would be batman. And catwoman...and if only! Two face.

"Time get going green boy."

I grabbed three tendrils from my scientific masterpiece. The plant. They coiled up my arm and stayed positioned there. "Time for mother nature to roll up her sleeves and take the trash out.....out of Gotham city. "

I reached into the drawer, Running the tube of lipstick that I withdrew, over my lips, the redness shimmering. "Now dont get any ideas bout kissin me till we get back hun. This stuff will get you into some trouble. " I winked and grabbed his hand.

NightWing

After the fight i had gotten broken up from the rest, but i caught up to batman as he rode down twords a building, catwoman had gone inside and batman was lingering outside, i thought i would have a little grand intrance here, i jumped up onto the building, looking down through a small sky light, nothing fancy in this, but oh well. It was just to air it out, but i could fit through. Now i just had to wait for joker to show the tiger, and get the jewel, then i jump in for a little fun.

Two-Face sighed softly. What was a superhero to do? The cops had captured him, and he was now on his way back to Arkhum. Oh well, if he really wanted to he could just break out of the hole in the wall in the back.
(Come on, how else do all of them escape?)
"Missed you Two-Face, both of you."
He growled deeply in his throat as he was escorted to his cell. A nice place to drown away the rest of his life. It was quaint, somewhere he could simply settle down, and start a family maybe.
He smiled, well not a family, but certainly relax, and get rid of all this Batman business. It was impossible to figure out who he was anyway, to think a simple Dna search could pull up the one and only...
Wait a minute. Two-Face turned to the wall, looking intently at a picture he held there. It helped him bring both of his personalities together.
He stared at the white circle. There was something he was missing, something that Harvey was keeping from him.
"Harvey," somwhere deep something stirred, it was scared, "Harvey, what is it?"
It came to him, slowly, more slowly than he wanted, but it came just the same. There was an extensive scan of the mask. There wasn't one dna strand, there were two.
Two-Face knew it. That little rat always kept things from him. He wanted to pummel the man, but realized he would end up in the hospital and nothing would come of it.
"Who Harvey, who?"
He wasn't giving it up though, a rat or not, the man had courage. Damnit, he needed to find out that other person.
Whoever it was, was Batman, he was sure of it.
His mind was already coming up of ways to get out of this place.
(TAKE THAT CATWOMAN, lol)

The Creeper

Giving her a mock salute, I follow Ivy as she leads me out by my hand. The girl sure knew how to take charge of the situation when she needed.

Following her to the outside, I asked her "Are we supposed to take an 'Ivymobile' or something like that? Or do I just carry you horseback style?" That last idea brought a very interesting thought to my head. Oh... maybe we'll try that out later. First, we realy needed to get going to catch up with the others.

Ivy smiled to me as the faint sound of something flapping could be heard. Just then, an odd looking plant creature with wings flew down from the skylight towards us. "What in the name of Eric Cartman is that?!?" I yell out as two vines whip down and snap us back up to the flying plant. She winks at my look of surprise as the creature takes us to the location. I wonder if there was a market for these things in amusement parks?
